JenIA: Exactly!
I was told by someone in the media - in Seattle, no less - that Starbucks will be rescinding that offer because it is against the law for any business to offer incentives for people to vote. They aren't allowed to get into politics. The people who put that campaign together apparently didn't check the laws on that!
Too bad they're so utterly full of themselves. No, I won't be stopping in. They act like they don't need my business so why humor them. They act like they're doing you a big favor most of the time. Who needs it?
Not too crazy about big conglomerates that eat up all the little cafes we used to have.
No thanks, Starbucks, for the same old tired business world nostrums. Reminds me of the old company and car commercials that harp on what a wonderful world this would be if we all just got together and blah blah blah. Meanwhile they continue to pollute and despoil the only world we have.
old, oil - same thing...
Too bad their coffee tastes like it was filtered through a dirty sock.
totally. nice try starbucks, this is so hollow.
While starbucks coffee isn't my favorite, I'd have appreciated them not writing off the expats like me who live abroad but have voted!
hey that's great ! But.. you have horrid coffee !!!!! thanks but no thanks !
Wow, you mean I'm not the only one who thinks their coffee is bad.
Of course you are not alone, that coffee is just putrid, but instead of passing that stuff out for free, after I vote, I would like to continue with my civic duty and come over and show you how to make a real good cup of coffee. Hey starbucks, this is my gift to you, please let me help. Please!
Can I have yours? I love Starbucks coffee. The stronger the better.
It actually was filtered through an old sock for years. Look at the reusable filters they use sometime. Then smell one. Then smell your sock. Go figure.
Starbucks is the worst. Even McDonald's coffee is way better than SBs. However, Gloria Jeans is the best by a long shot.
Starbucks should bring the coffee to the poll lines, they will only clog up their stores as well as the polls now.
GOTTA GET TO STARBUCKS FOR THAT FREE CUP OF COFFEE!

VOTE!!!
Drink! Baby! Drink!
This "latte sipping liberal" will be happy to partake in a free tall coffee.
Yay!!! Yet another reason to cast my ballot. Oh, wait, I already did! Where did I put that "I Voted" sticker?!?!?!?
I was wondering the same thing (except I didn't get a sticker...) but according to the ad, they'll take your word for it!
A chain called It's A Grind out of Long Beach, Calif., is offering a free 12 oz. coffee if you wear your I Voted sticker.

Tall, non fat, white chocolate mocha, Iced (hot version is good too in the winter) - little whip.
-- with their lemon pound cake.
Good stuff - try it.
The lemon pound cake is the only reason I go to Starbucks.
Their bakery is bad. I can't believe culinary arts have gone so far downhill that people actually get psyched into believing they're eating decent baked goods from that place. Not to mention the prices. What a crock.
I like the high fat version, hot. I only go once in awhile to Starbucks so I figure I can splurge on the calories when I do. Haven't tried the lemon pound cake but it is now on my list of things to try.
LOL!
Another reason to love a company that is so good to their employees. It was a great advertisement and I plan on copying this link to spread it around. More people need these subtle reminders on how important it is to vote.
its true--even though many are opposed to their domination of the coffee house market, the truth is they offer amazing salaries and benefits, even to part time employees.
and i love their free music downloads.
