Anonymous Call Tells Pennsylvania Dems To Vote Wednesday

A registered Democrat in Pennsylvania writes the Huffington Post to report that she has received an anonymous phone call telling her she should go to the polls on Wednesday.

"I received a phone call from an unidentified caller yesterday telling me that because of the expected high voter turnout, Democrats will need to vote on Wednesday, November 5th," she writes.

The calls are obviously misleading, as voting ends on Tuesday. And apparently they have been going on for quite some time. This past Friday the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported "robocalls making the rounds in Pittsburgh region" disseminating the misleading information. The reader who contacted Huffington Post was from the Philadelphia suburbs, at the opposite end of the state.

Contacted by the Huffington Post, a spokesman for the Obama campaign's Pennsylvania operations said he was aware of the misleading calls but "not worried about" their impact.

This goes to show that the Republicans will stoop to any levels to win because they know not how to be fair. The Democrats have never done this to them and they seem to think that people are going to fall for the banana in the tail pipe again. Remember they did this when Bush was running. This time people were warned of their dirty tactics. But what makes this even more vile is that you have Republicans who know McCain is playing dirty yet they cannot stand up and call him out on it. IF there was any decent person left in their party they would be voicing their displeasure. But since none seem to have come forward and denounce it this is a sign they have signed on to it. So you know what to do come election time for all of them.

They need to make it a point on every local news cast, for Elderly residents, that voting is on Tuesday and Tuesday only and to ignore any phone calls or mailings they receive to the contrary. Not that us seniors are stupid but sometimes elderly people get confused and conned.

sorry in this day and age can they not trace theses calls and emails being but out and is it not unlaw to do this tipe of think if not it should be and they need to go to jail not just pay a fine or probatoin and lose their right to vote
