I Like ItI Don’t Like It

MSNBC will have hosts AND an anchor on election night, according to Chris Matthew on "Hardball." After Matthews and Olbermann got removed as official election anchors for the final debates, with David Gregory taking the role, the network announced their election night plans as follows:

MSNBC's Election Night coverage kicks off at 5 p.m. ET, anchored by David Gregory with Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow and Eugene Robinson at MSNBC Election Headquarters in New York. "Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough will join to provide analysis based on his years of experience in the House of Representatives. Norah O'Donnell will report on the challenges facing the incoming administration...

But Monday Chris Matthews announced he and Olbermann are "hosts":

Please join me and Keith Olbermann as we host MSNBC's election night coverage, and there's nothing like it anywhere else. And David Gregory anchoring."

Can not stand David Gregory...he never does a follow up question, he just let the answers stand.
Maybe Chris Mathews interrupts at times, but he sure gets people to put their foot right into their mouths.
He has Republican envy!!!!

Obama/Biden '08...voted early last week in Ohio.

David Gregory was a terrible reporter. Every time Bush intimidated him, which was every time he showed his face, Gregory wimped. He reminds me of young people who run around to the most popular group on campus wanting to be included, but not knowing exactly why. He NEVER got the story, it's called "doing your job". Until he quits acting like a juvenile I won't watch him. Too bad, I love Chris Matthews and I'll watch him as long as he's on. Ditto Rachel and Keith. The best addition to the show is Eugene, he's cautious and deliberate. Good Man.

Exactly give me Keith, Chris and Rachel any day. I've stopped watching CNN election coverage. I must admit I love Roland Martin. He usually get the repubs PO when they go mouthing off about bs.

David Gregory is an anchor all right, a heavy weight that sinks ratings to the bottom and keeps the ship from moving anywhere. Last week, in his purported attempts to "present all sides," Gregory "presented" Tom DeLay and later, Trent Lott. These are Republican SS men who should have been incarcerated long ago. Now, if his show had been examining the architects of America's perilous future and damaged reputation, their selections might have been apt. But apparently, Gregory also feels they still have something pertinent to add to the current election. That, or they're the only people he could get to appear on his sleep-inducing program.

When I see David Gregory, I shut off MSNBC. He is a drag on the network. I love Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow.......David Gregory makes me turn on some old dumb sitcom on another channel.
Now, tonight,,,,,,I might just switch to Brian Williams, assuming he's on......he's second best next to the amazing MSNBC folks mentioned above.

Can't stand David Gregory or Tom Brokaw.......what an old wind-bag.

DG is close to the top of the list, for the Meet the press seat. Believe it or not!

I'm a Democrat, and I really love Rachel and Keith, but Chris Matthews is a blubbering blabbermouth who interrupts everyone the very second he asks a question, I can't stand his rudeness and his aggressive style.

Do you think it is possible that KeithO and Chris aka Mr. Banana Head aka my leg tingles and Rachel aka Is she or Isn't she, do you think these 3 clowns will be able to keep their pants on tonight?

MSNBC is doing their best to make sure no one takes them seriously at news . They need to be honest and admit that they are opnion based and partisan drivin. There is nothing wrong with that but let's call a spade a spade.

I bet you watch those unbiased shows like Hannity & Billo the Clown. Nothing biased about them. They are not news reporters, more like reality puke shows.

Hopefully Joe Scarborough will be too exhausted from his morning show to interrupt everyone just as they begin to speak.

MSNBC knows they have struck pure gold in the form of Rachel, Keith and, to a lesser extent, Chris. The three of them, plus several of the other "regulars" are a joy to watch.

If you find their presentation to be left-leaning, they still provide enough of the information for you to find the real underlying truth.

And if you think there's still some important information being kept from you, you can always flip over to the Fox/Bush News Channel for a few minutes to convince yourself that you aren't missing anything.

"Let the market decide."

You mean like the market has decided in talk radio? Oh wait, I forgot about the Fairness Doctrine.

MSNBC got a zillion emails complaining about removing Matthews and Olbermann. I requested that they publish emails and phone numbers of the executives responsible for that bone head decision on the air, so all viewers could voice their opinions about it.

They caved.

More Rachel Maddow! More Rachel Maddow! More ... erm, you get the point.

Isn't it amazing that both Barack Obama and Rachel Maddow 'came of age' this year? Both are charismatic, both are palpably nice, both are smarter than the next ten people put together. And both do their utmost to put their point of view across without alienating the 'other side'.

What fantastic role models both Rachel and Barack are for this generation of Americans.

Yes! Thank you for stating this:

"...both are smarter than the next ten people put together."

When will the press realize that what the American people need is not someone to have a beer or dress a moose with, but we NEED adults who can formulate thoughts and express them clearly.

I'd rather watch Keith, Chris and Rachel. Watching David Gregory is rather painful at times.

He was Chief White House correspondant for NBC news so obviously in the opinion of the regulars here, Gregory has no credibility. If he was a gaping A-hole like Olbermann he would loved.
