I love this article! It's interesting to see how some manipulated images to create an impression. One highlighted the "wrong" side of McCain to empathize his slightly deformed jaw. Some darkened or lightened Obama's skin tone. It's a fascinating retrospective.

The New Yorker needs to sack their art director, though! Almost all their covers are dreadful.

Obama was on the cober of Tiger beat?! Last week I had a thought about all the covers Obama has been on and I wondered if he had ever been on the cvoer of one of those teenie boper rags...never would have guessed Tiger Beat. i thought they closed up shop years ago
