Matthew Broderick Says "Take The Day Off" For Election, Quotes Ferris (VIDEO)

Matthew Broderick filmed a hilarious ad for barackobama.com telling viewers to vote and to be involved election day, volunteering if possible and even if it means taking the day off. He also borrows a couple lines from his iconic film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Last week his wife Sarah Jessica Parker worked the phones for Obama.

I think we should make election day a holiday. Apparently we can't count on all employers to allow the employees to take all the time they need to vote.

Those cut faced actors normally don't age well but Matt looks really good. Normally he'd be bald, less tan more pink skinned and have 40 pounds of fat hanging off him. All afternoons of scaling neighbor fences and leaping over pools have helped I guess (Day Off Movie reference).

Maybe because it was a movie from my youth, but I could still watch Ferris Bueller repeatedly. It wasn't the greatest movie but it just sticks with me.

Our polls in New Jersey opened at 6:00am and I voted in less than 15 minutes!!! Awesome! It feels GREAT to be part of the process and part of a history making election!!! When the votes are tallied, this promises to be the highest voter turnout ever!
