John McCain taped an interview with ESPN's Chris Berman that aired tonight during Monday Night Football. McCain discussed the best advice he's received from the sports world, as well as the one quality he wants people to think of when they see his name on the ballot. McCain, asked by Berman which rule he would change in sports if he could, returned to a familiar theme and criticized the use of performance-enhancing drugs, and stated the importance of staying ahead of the curve in preventing athletes from using them.

If Mccain wants more votes he should try out this phrase:

"Hi ,I'm John Mccin and I endorse Barack Obama."

Be honorable, even when people aren't looking. What about when they are?

And, at 72 John McCain has now completed his three-part "rebel" phase:

First, a "rebel without a cause"
The, a "rebel"
Now, "a rebel without a clue"

McCain is like Jekyll and Hyde to me.

Sometimes he can still show what I remember from him in 2000--personable, relaxed, genial, and with a good sense of humor and great timing.

These moments are usually away from politics--on The Daily Show, Letterman, or SNL.

When he's campaigning, debating, in Congress, or in a political interview, it's Mr. Hyde again--a bitter, angry, unpleasant man with a mean laugh, a bad temper, and a smirk to rival Dick Cheney's.

I find this "dual McCain" really unnerving. Who IS this guy....REALLY?

I have no idea.

That's funny. McCain has always reminded me of Mr. Hyde ... and Mr. Hyde's dark side.

Mr. Raw-hyde?

I agree for the most part...had he run a campaign along the lines of honesty, being personable and showing some sort of a human side, he could have perhaps kept it closer.

But, he bailed-out / sold-out and went with lobbyists and a Karl Rove-like strategy...I assume simply attempting to appeal to the internal fears of Americans.

It's time for change...and we'll be headed in a better direction on Jan 20th.
