Politico:

CBS's Katie Couric asked Obama in an interview that aired just now about the Pennsylvania Republican Party ad using Wright, and whether he blames McCain for it.

"The McCain campaign has been pretty restrained on that front, and I think they deserve...credit for that," he said.

And he explained the decision not to respond to that and to another that's airing more widely.

So we're supposed to believe that all of a sudden, just 4 days before the election, that Mc has suddenly lost control over the 527's?

The Repubs go on and on ad nauseum about BO not keeping his word on public financing (although he never agreed one way or the other). But of course, Mc gets a pass on not keeping his word about Wright.

The edits are so severe in this ad as to be completely disingenuous. But it's running a several times an hour here in Texas, and that's on MSNBC.

BARACK THE VOTE!

That's just why Barack is a better leader! If he said, 'we're not going that route,' then the Dems wouldn't do it! There's plenty of dirt out there on McCain but no one has bubbled it up! But DoanythingsayanythingMcCain-Palin? That's why he's a loser! Obama is a wonderful Leader.

Vote, vote, vote, vote, vote,vote!

As an Arizonan, I am repulsed by the Wright attack ads against Obama.
Neither McCain nor Obama have run many ads here, but the recent onslaught of the attack ads from McCain leads me to conclude that McCain is desperate when it comes to losing his home state.
I voted early and voted a straight Democrat ticket.
I hope that McCain loses my state of Arizona because of his choice for VP.
Choosing Palin was an insult and made it clear that McCain was NOT placing country first but playing to the Joe-Six-Packs, and hopefully Arizonans are smarter than that.

It's great to hear from people who see through the kind of nonsense that has hurt Democratic candidates in the past.

One more day!

They're running their breathless. heartless ad in Southern California right now; pretty dumb move considering the state's 55 electoral votes have been Obama's for months...and this media market is pretty pricey. If they want to waste their money like that, all the better...

I've seen the GOPTRUST PAC ad every other commercial break on MSNBC here in Pinellas Co. FL since 4:00 p.m.

I can't wait till the Repubichairs lose and go home to AZ and AK!

I am here in Texas and turn the channel each time it comes on. It's divisive and has no place in this political season. Obama could easily run ads against Hagee, Parsely and the Wasilla Assembly of God church.

Same here in Ga. The as is on right now. How someone else see our country because he and millions other black Americans had to live their lives in terror at the hands of white people. We were sold, beaten, raped, burned, mutilated and experimented on by our own government. A few years back two white boys tied this black man to their pickup truck with a long rope and dragged he down the road until he was in pieces. We live through all that injustice and humiliation with the full cooperation and blessing of our government. The American experience wasn't pleasant for black people. Get over it, hell America still got the upper hand in this game. Live what his life must have been in those time and then tell me he is out of line. Walk in his shoes that long ago and be black ,then tell me why he should feel any differently about our country. If Obama was white this election would have been over long ago. It wouldn't even be a discussion. Incompetent palin and mccain is this close to finish running our country into the ground. So, you tell me how much have our country really changed?

That wider playing add is getting heavy rotation here in North Dakota. Between Wright, socialism, and abortion, you can't go ten minutes with seeing one of the three commercials here.

Once again Barack takes the high road and remains an honorable man; giving McCain and Palin much more "credit" than they deserve.
I saw the Rev Wright commerical 4 or 5 times yesterday on MSNBC! Very racist, very distorted and out of context.

I pray that people are not fooled by the politics of fear and hate.

If they weren't fooled by it, Barack would win every state on Tuesday by a large majority. What kind of man could sit by and allow this ad to run on his behalf and not stop it or condemn it? __

John McCain is a coward.

He hides behind the RNC and local GOP groups rather than accept responsibility for the the ads being sent out on his behalf. If he were half the leader that he claims to be, and if he truly felt that these ads were inappropriate, then he would take action to stop their distribution and publicly call out those that conducting a repugnant rogue GOP campaign.

If he cannot lead his own party, how can he possibly lead the nation?

you said it perfectly. you don't attack someones pastor or religion. it's just something we don't do or told by our parents not to do. but, then it has been part of the GOP to divide the country to keep their power, control and greed. I truly hope they are voted out of office up and down the ballot tomorrow. It shows all of America has disregard for this behavior. we reject your divisional politics.

Ads are running in my state as well and I'm in the middle of America.

No different to me than sitting beside a car at a stop light with music blasting and my windows shaking. Eventually it stops!

Also, listening to McCain yell fight, fight, fight, fight or my friends, my friends, my friends while pounding his little fist is worse than the television ad of Reverand Wright.

At least Obama didn't allow him to LAY hands on him and practice VODOO!

I live in Northern Michigan. I'm watching MSNBC (Hardball, Race, Hardball, Countdown, Rachel) and the Rev. Wright ad has been running at a rate of about once every 10 minutes.

It's disgusting, it's incredibly dishonorable, and McCain won't take any "credit" for allowing it to continue. He COULD stop it....but, in choosing not to, he is breaking his vow not to do it.

Every 10 minutes. Unbelievable. The damn thing has run it's course, but it's still despicable.

The Bipartisan investigation found her GUILTY of abuse of power and violation of ethics...GUILTY. The Personnel Board investigation is something Palin instituted.

Whatever they find she is guilty of being a divisive, hate-monger and race-baiter.
