Politico:

CBS's Katie Couric asked Obama in an interview that aired just now about the Pennsylvania Republican Party ad using Wright, and whether he blames McCain for it.

"The McCain campaign has been pretty restrained on that front, and I think they deserve...credit for that," he said.

And he explained the decision not to respond to that and to another that's airing more widely.

The McCain campaign is the epitome of what Wright states is wrong with "God damn America," because of it's bitter, divisive, racist, hate filled tactics. Just how much difference is there between Reverend Wright and McCain/Palin's speech besides the target of their comments? Both are filled with hate for anyone that disagrees with them. I hate to say it but I would side with Wright before Palin any day. We still have too many biggots in this country as evidenced by the crowds Palin draws. McCain/Palin are hate/fear mongers no different than what they accuse Wright to be.

The Rev. Wright ad played during every commercial break here last night - sometimes multiple times during the commercial break.

On every broadcast channel, and on cable.

Dolts. Cr@p like that just pushes me closer to the Obama camp, though my mind was made up quite some time ago.

McCain's surrogates have nothing positive to say about McCain or Republicans on CNN. Their main argument is that Obama is too "radical" to be president.

Meanwhile, Gallup reports that after McCain and Clinton's endless attacks on Obama for past 8 months, Obama has the highest favorability rating among Presidential candidates in history. Over 62% of voters view Obama favorably.

Perhaps McCain and Clinton should have spent more time telling us why we should vote themselves, and not why we should be afraid of Obama. We are smart enough to judge Obama for ourselves.

the GOP calling people too radical is HILLARIOUS. Shouldn't they be out torturing someone?

AxelDC, I agree that the McCain camp played that all wrong. That's how John Kerry lost... saying why Bush is not good enough to be president and not saying what he will do for the country.

Rev Wright is entitled to his opinion, just as Rev Hagee and Rev Parsley.

Unlike McCain, Obama disagrees with the inflammatory remarks made, something the people need to remember!

Obama is far too gracious and NICE. In Arizona, there are Wright commercials on literally every 15 minutes on several stations. I hope today is the end of it..... What a waste of money. This year the Republicans have shown no class.

Here in Ohio, the same thing. The Wright ad over and over. McCain is man without shame or honor. He is much worse than anything Wright ever said.

The Republicans showed no class 8 years ago with what they did to McCain's adopted child..

Now he is doing the same thing.. If he had any class he would have said NO to these types of ads.. Guess it sort of shows you what kind of person Mr. McCain really is.

Everyone (with integrity) should check out the HBO original movie "hacking democracy" http://www.hbo.com/docs/programs/hackingdemocracy/synopsis.html
Should there even be a inkling of a very close race. Look at Diebold technologies and all the states that use their voting machines and what party (GOP) paid for the machines and in what states. Indiana is one of those states. Those machines were at the center of the 2004 election. Dont be bamboozled this time. No matter what happens we know Obama should be the next President of the USA.
In the 2000 presidential election, an electronic voting machine recorded minus 16,022 votes for Al Gore in Volusia County, Fla. While fraud was never proven, the faulty tally alerted computer scientists, politicians and everyday citizens to the very real possibility of computer hacking during elections.

Jeremiah Wright. A former US decorated Marine. Fought for the right for hate filled white racist america to chase him to another country with death threats. I can understand why he said the things he did. Now the actions of anti americans (those that fear dissent) have brought the real chickens home to roost. I pray Rev Wright US American Verteran will be restored back to his home of America.

I disagree, I think McCain gets little to know credit for doing the correct thing. This standard wouldn't
pass with our children and it shouldn't pass for a man who holds himself to such high moral regard.

Besides, substituting Muslim, Ayers, "Who is Barak Obama" for Rev Wright is hardly a thing to be credited for.

So, no, he gets no credit except in this regard; It is the one principled decision you've made and that is one decision to little.
