Yahoo Loses Another Top Executive, Hires Replacement

In yet another defection from Yahoo's ever-thinning management ranks, Scott Moore, the senior vice president in charge of the company's media group, is leaving. Mr. Moore was in charge of many of Yahoo's most important and successful Web sites, including Yahoo News, Yahoo Finance and Yahoo Sports.

Mr. Moore will be replaced by Jeff Dossett, who was previously executive producer and general manager for the MSN Media Network at Microsoft, Yahoo said in a press release confirming Mr. Moore's exit. His departure was first reported on the AllThingsD Web site. Mr. Dossett will be named senior vice president for the United States audience, and will report to Hilary Schneider, executive vice president of Yahoo U.S. Mr. Moore had also worked at MSN before joining Yahoo in 2005.

"Jeff is one of the country's most experienced online media executives, and I'm confident he is well-suited to lead Yahoo's audience business to even greater heights," Ms. Schneider said in a press release.
