Anderson Cooper: Loves Factual Reporting, Dance And "Real Housewives Of Atlanta" (VIDEO)

CNN anchor appeared on Ellen's Election Day special and talked about how Ellen has made dance an issue this election, how he LOVES watching Bravo's "Real Housewives of Atlanta" and "Dancing with the Stars," and more importantly how he thinks fact is the most important part of hosting a news program and how he tries to be impartial:

"Seeing Barack Obama dance, then compare that to Michelle Obama, and then to have Barack Obama come back on and have to re-dance ... it was some pretty dramatic moments that you've had on your program...

I like to keep abreast of the Dancing with the Stars," he said. "I like to keep abreast of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. These are some of the show that I'm currently a little bit obsessed with."

When DeGeneres said she hasn't gotten into the Bravo reality show yet, he shot back, "What have you been doing? So you don't know anything about [show star] NeNe?

Then talked turned serious, and he said, genuinely how he loved reported the truth and the fact.

Now that anyone with a brain knows that AC is gay, he has actually lost credibility because he chooses to stay in the glass closet. it is part of who he is and he would be more effective if he was comfortable with his gayness in a Rachel Maddow kind of way. the world is ready and he needs to show some leadership on the "normalization" of gay people: "we are everywhere".

I'm trying to follow your reasoning here. I'm heterosexual, so I, too, should come out of the closet and tell everybody that I am heterosexual? Why should anybody care about one's sexual orientation? How is it relevant to the job one does? Do your mechanic or brain surgeon have to tell you what their sexual orientation is? Gay people don't have to be "normalized", they are normal people to me, as much as heterosexuals are.

Actually, you probably HAVE told everyone you're heterosexual. Ever spoken about what you and your girlfriend/wife did over the weekend? Did you invite people to your wedding or kissed your wife good-bye in the airport? Do you have a picture of the two of you on your desk? Ever walked hand-in-hand or arm-in-arm down the street?

Anderson Cooper is terrific, and so is Ellen. But have you checked out Rachel Maddow on MSNBC? She is fabulous! A real brain with a sense of humor.

The problem with news people who say they will correct facts is that many of the progressives in America are more abreast of the facts than the media. There are those of us who know exactly how people have voted and word for word what people have said. I feel like the media is lazy in this country and have relied for too long on letting people come on their shows and argue back and forth and NEVER even get to the facts.

Anderson Cooper is the best of CNN of unbiased reporting. You can watch him and most others that your getting the facts.. He is wonderful and so is Ellen.. Learn much from mothers and fathers wisdom and today they are transitional....Me A straight middle class female 57 yrs old Love them they bring much to our communities.
