Barack Obama, Joe Biden, McCain And The Clintons Vote (PHOTOS)

Across the country candidates have returned home to vote. First up were Barack Obama in Chicago and Joe Biden in Delaware. The Clintons voted in Chappaqua as well. Later today Sarah Palin will vote in Alaska and John McCain in Arizona.

Neither Obama nor Biden gave an interview after voting, but the Clintons and Palin did. And I'm shocked that the "ballot boxes" used in Arizona are Rubbermaid flip-top baskets. I wonder how they locked them?

I'm in San Diego. I voted early for Obama. The line of waiting voters was short at 7:15am. I hope Barack wins in Pennsylvania. I was born there.

John and Cindy McCain voted with an early ballot, meaning they voted ahead of time and just dropped their ballots off in the envelopes. What is funny about this is that early ballots are not counted until the next day or so...... So, his vote will not be tallied with the rest of the AZ votes tonight!

I don't understand the seated bit at group tables in the Arizona polling place -- are they voting? There are the usual private voting booths along the back -- but the guy on the left in the second picture looks like he's filling out a ballot. And don't you only have to show ID if you are a first-time voter?

It kind of looks like our town hall on voting day. People sit at tables and collect signatures on referendum petitions, to get a referendum on the ballot at the NEXT election. When I was a polll watcher in 2004, I sat at a table to compile my list. Or people waiting to be ID'd get to sit while they wait too. It's a little different from city voting!
