Joe Biden kicked off election day with a burst of enthusiasm as he arrived just before 9AM to vote in Wilmington, Delaware with his mother Jean (AKA Mom-Mom), wife Jill, and daughter Ashley. After voting, he waved to over 100 gathered supports before getting into his waiting SUV. He then made a stop in Virginia and is now on his way to Chicago, with his family in tow, to meet running mate Barack Obama and await the results. **Keep checking back for updates.**

Joe Biden is going to be an amazing VP -
and Jill Biden is "drop dead gorgeous", besides all that she is going to do to improve education in our country.

When Barack Obama announced Joe Biden as his running mate, I could not stop smiling. I knew America's new Vice President would bring integrit and dignity back to the role of VP, and a great back-up for Obama. He has campaigned untiringly (in some small, backhole places, up to 4-5 events each day) backing Obama, envigorating rally crowds, and knocking down attacks from McCain and his surrogates against Obama, whom Joe obviously respects. I just love this man...he speaks raw honesty. An unsung hero, but I think he's okay with that. Since the Democratic Convention, I've never seen Joe Biden so happy. Congratulations Vice President Joe Biden...I'm so proud of you.

I watched the gathering in Grant Park and marveled at the look on Vice-President elect Biden's face. It was pure joy: Barack--we won, yes. What a photo these two together. Then Mrs. Obama came out with Mrs. Biden and more joy.

Sorry, Vice-President-Elect Biden, but in all the excitement, you haven't gotten nearly enough love and acknowledgment. You, Sir, have the great honor to replace Dick Cheney. We've forgotten how important this is - as important as President-Elect Obama replacing GWB. Boy, will the prestige of the VP office go up when you're there! I'm going to savor this for a long time. Best wishes to you Mr. Biden. You're going to be great!

What a wonderful team, President Obama and Vice President Biden along with their first ladies Michelle and Jill (it is picture perfect). So many young people in the White House. I love the respect and love that the Obama's and Biden's show for their families and for one another.

GOD BLESS AMERICA AND THE WORLD.

I like this guy! With all his occasional gaffes, he really speaks what he thinks. Honest guy. Very good help to Obama.

I really appreciate your comment.

But, I'd like to try and clear up some confusion around here by making the argument that VP-elect Biden does not - contrary to popular belief - make gaffes, occasional or otherwise. The problem is that too many have confused the concept of 'Biden gaffes' with what is, in actual fact, an incredibly deep and widespread incompetence and ineptitude that runs rampant through the media and blogosphere, not to mention the wonderfully wacky world of pundits...of any and all political stripes.

Incompetence? Let me define incompetence for you...the last 8 years of GW!!! Joe Biden is one of the most accomplished members of the Senate and will be a fine Vice President. Yes, he does occasionally stick his foot in his mouth, but that does nothing to take away from his stand on the right side of the issues through all these years.

I like him too. He's intelligent, kind and speaks his mind.
