Fox News called Ohio for Barack Obama with just 3% of precincts reporting — only to walk that projection back moments later.
"We're calling it for Obama, Ohio for Obama," Brit Hume said, showing a huge margin for Obama with those few precincts in.
Moments later, Hume joked about the erroneous call as a producer presumably corrected him in his ear.
"I apologize folks, I am told we are not calling Ohio," Hume said. "The checkmark was misplaced — maybe it was the one that was supposed to go to Wisconsin that ended up in Ohio," he said while laughing. "You know, we've got a lot of maps and stuff to fool around with tonight, so every now and then someone puts a check in the wrong place and look what happens."
