Florida resident Joe Scarborough talked about Barack Obama's incredible get-out-the-vote initiatives in his home state, replicated nationwide, with David Gregory on election night at 5:30 pm. Quoting a top Republican official in Florida he spoke with last Friday, Scarborough said, "Forget about it. The race is over. Barack Obama won it and he won it early." He added that Obama's 7-week campaign to get-out-the-vote buried any attempts by McCain to win with a 1976-style 72-hour effort.

He called the difference between Ken Mehlman's ground game in 2004 and McCain's lackluster job this year "stunning."

In order to reverse the contribution to sectarianism, dishonesty, know-nothingism and outright nastiness the media has brought to the public discourse, it is important to see the current cast of characters for who they are. Dixiecrat Scarborough, who was a Congressman from the Redneck Riviera in Pensacola in the 90s and voted to impeach Clinton, and his sidekick Nazi Pat Buchanan must be taken off of the responsible media airwaves and put on FOX.

These guys use their positions to push their backwards, racist philosophies in wholly dishonest manners. Buchanan is a long term Nazi with 2 books about WWII arguing: (1) the US fought on the wrong side during WWII; and (2) Hitler was provoked into WWII by Churchill. He also simply asserts facts knowing they are untrue to support his Nazi and racist positions. Scarborough does the same thing from his Dixiecrat perspective and has been overtly racist over the past months, trying to undercut Obama, screaming down his guests, minorities and lying about anything he can to prove his point, transparently joining Crazy, Secessionist Sarah in choosing what is the "real America" and condemning the rest of us.

As part of healing, Dixiecrat Scarborough and Nazi Buchanan should go to Fox.

You know what this means, don't you -- the republicans will be out in droves in the next election, trying to imitate Obama's campaign! I won't be able to stand it! I already had enough of the robocalls, I can't take real people!

It truly is sad how Joe S. and all those who did not like or support Obama found any excuse to try to tear him down. The sorry lie about the media being in the tank for Obama was just that...a LIE. Obama was vetted worst than any other candidate in this century or last centruy. The media took this man through the mill and back, Rev. Wright, Wm. Aryes, his wife's innocent comment about being proud to be an American...lest we forget "bittergate"...when McCain was making much stink about Obama being an elitest, celebrity...I can't recall anybody in the media taking up for him. McCain outright lied about Obama's tax plan, health plan and his plan for social security and medicare...where was the media disputing the McCain lies. Did the media call McCain and Palin out when they were calling Obama a terriorist, communist, marxist, Muslim, Arab...no...they just allowed these lies to spread all over TV. Joe and his friends at Fox need to get a life....

I like Joe Scarborough but indeed he is bitter and he is SHOCKED Obama won Florida. With that being his home state and being a true son of the south he is SHOCKED!

My husband was watching Joe this morning and I just had to leave the room. I douldn't stand another day of Obama-bashing by this bitter man. Instead of giving Obama his props for winning this election and helping celebrate the victory he consitently played the blame-game. "The press was in the tank for Obama, Obama was never vetted, the NY Times treated McCain unfairly, Cindy McCain was smeared" and yada yada yada..."

His only concession was that Obama's ground game beat McCain...and that was not a real compliment merely a way to complain about McCains lack of. I"m sick of Joe and today is the one day of this political season that I would like to be happy and hear only positive things about how this country can move forward with our new president.

Joe should just get over it, His candidate lost!

Scarborough doesn't get it. He's criticizing McCain for running a 70's campaign when he is viewing this country thru a 1970 lense. He criticized the "liberal" media for handing Obama this election this morning. Joe and others like him don't understand it wasn't the media that shaped this election, it was true Americans who wanted this nation to be a true demcracy and a land of opportunity for all. Scarborough, and others like him, who seek to divide and conquer are increasing becoming irrelevant in today's high-tech, global culture and economy.

Joe stop fearing and reach for something higher. Each of us needs to adop t the man in the mirror principle. Be the change you want to see.

I figured they need to continue to say he won because of the economic fall or the media, because they just can't bear the reality that a Black man just plain out and out won with intelligence, strategy and by having a plan that clearly connected with the American people. They consider themselves to be the American people; they can't fathom the fact that what Conservatives decide we ALL want and need turned out to be wrong.

And let all Democrats give a huge thanks to Palin, for her embodiment of what we DO NOT WANT in or near the WH.
Thank you, Moose Pie Barbie!! Your inarticulateness, your vile ideas, your vindictiveness have helped put the Democrat into the White House.

Joe is okay, he is more pragmatic than most republicans and will admit to some republican mistakes. The key is that the Obama campaign performed flawlessly throughout. McCain's campaign made a lot of mistakes, fumbled around and made bad decisions. Give a lot of credit to his managers and advisors. This was the best run campaign ever. It also doesn't hurt if your party has the superior message and better candidate.
Now lets get to the business of pulling this country out of the big ditch it's in and regain our prestige.

President Barack Obama is a genius, I tell you, a genius!
Wow! how incredible is that! After having the village idiot as our President for 8 years, now we have this Constitutional scholar and genius as our next President!
"For the first time in my life, I am REALLY proud of my country"--my sentiments exactly!
