I think TIm would've been so proud. We miss you Tim. Tonight more than ever.

But how about that David Plouffe? Man. I'd love to read his book if ever her writes one. Calm, Cool, Collected. Obama's twin. Low profile. Smart as heck. Genius. Thank you David and congrats on your new baby when it comes into the world.

CNN's hologram's ain't got nothing on Tim's dry erase board.

I had a glass of wine tonight, as I watched the different polls close and the results come in. Watched MSNBC in honor of Tim. While the graphics were great, and I loved the map out on the ice with the results being put out on the building itself.... I raised my glass and said "Here's to you, Tim" and totally missed the simplicity of that ol' dry erase board.

I love all the comments and am so glad that I share the same feelings with so many of you regarding Tim.

I'm so glad they opened with this. I can't think of anyone at NBC who, months ago, was more excited about the potential tonight held! It's sad that he, and many others aren't here to experience this with the rest of us:

Tim Russert
Madelyn Dunham
Ann Dunham
Stephanie Tubbs Jones
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Fraser Robinson
Terence Tolbert

I'm sure I'm leaving many out.

True, there are for too many to mention (Medgar Evers just came to mind)...many who are not here BECAUSE they gave their lives in an effort to reach this point!

Tim is smiling right now! I wonder if their will be another rainbow tomorrow?
It would have been great to still have him hear...to hear his thoughts on this!

Ole Tim carried his water as far as he could and there were plenty to carry it over the finish line. Mission accomplished.

I watched Tim for the last 8 years on MTP...I remember my anger in 2000 when the election was stolen, I have followed politics since then...I tuned in every Sunday to watch Tim, and I have truly missed him throughout this exciting presidential campaign. I have a People Magazine with Tim on the cover, sitting on my table. We miss you Tim, may you rest in peace. I know you are smiling. I wish I could hear those famous words from you: FLORIDA, FLORIDA, FLORIDA.

I am so sad Tim Russert won't be there smiling that great smile and calling the winner of this momentous election. I know he will be looking down and cheering with the rest of us. I wished I liked Rolling Rock or I would make a toast to Tim.

How I wish Tim Russert and Toot was here to see this. I know they're watching from another place, but how they are missed.

I`ll never forget Tim Russert`s famous words after Obama won the primaries: " This is it."

R.I.P. Tim

I can see Tim's face, and that determined, intense look he always had on nights like this. The look of a man absolutely at his best, in his element, doing what he loves, and in the place he was meant to be. He is missed.

I miss Tim and I think Luke does a good job. He should be good with some experience. But someone needs to give that kid a decent haircut. Looks like he cut it himself.
