I voted for Obama, and now he is the President Elect. This eloquent and graceful human being will take our country where it belongs. He really means what believes, and I believe that he will not let us down. I don't no the man or his family, but being a Grandma myself, I took it hard that his Grandma didn't make it long enough to see him get elected. She help raise this extrodinary person, and she didn't even get to see the final fruits of her labor. God Bless her, and the Obama's, this was a time of great mixed emotions for him. Glad he won, but sad she is gone.

I voted yesterday and cried as I exited the building. I was so proud to have cast my vote for Barack Obama. I am a lifelong Republican who crossed party lines because John McCain crossed the line when he named Sarah Palin as his running mate. I had dismissed Obama out of hand ,because I knew I would vote Republican no matter what. McCain's faux pas in choosing Sarah made me take off those Republican blinders and really look at the candidates. Obama inspired me. His professionalism in the wake of several nasty attacks against him made me want to support him even more. Today, my children cast their votes at school as part of the Kids Vote Campaign. I hope this election energizes America and helps us see America for what she is..the greatest country on earth. Life is Good.

I burst into tears when I cast my ballot today...so did several older White women nearby...we hugged and talked about how good it was to cast our vote for such a remarkable man...as I was leaving, one of the women said "Don't forget, White women got him here, we have to share the credit!" A big thank you to all the White women out there lol!

Maybe it's just me but from the pictures Obama looks much lighter in complexion than he actually looks on TV.

Not that there is anything wrong with that but it just seems curious that somehow he always comes out looking real dark especially on HD.

Again, nothing wrong with that, but just the same curiorsity I get when people keep referring to him as "black", it always seems to fall through the cracks that he was born of a white mother.

"I wish the candidate would discuss global poverty more. According to The Borgen Project:
$30 billion: Annual shortfall to end world hunger.
$540 billion: Annual U.S. Defense Budget."

If we ended world hunger, there'd be less to defend ourselves against.

It's just got to be an Obama victory, for us, for the world. Anything else would be unthinkable, unbearable and unbelievable.
