Mike, you have tried, on many blogs, to post your anti Obama message, go away, it's not going to work here, OR at Penn State.

Sorry to bother, but who do you think they are going to vote? someone uneducated, and kind of dumb like the VP of the republican candidate?
Just asking?

My late Dad went to Penn State on a football scholarship in the late 30's. Never finished school because he was drafted into WWII. I am sure he would have loved seeing long lines of Penn State students waiting to vote! This is what he fought for.

He was a career military man and fiercely loved this country. A yellow dog Democrat, he used to drive my Evangelical brother nuts - because they agreed on many things, including social issues but Dad would never never never never never vote for a Republican. You see, his father and all of his brothers worked in the coal mines, back in the days when they lived in company houses, shopped at company stores and were paid, not in dollars, but in company scrip. The Democrats and their unions brought good pay (in dollars) and improved working conditions and my dad never forgot it. He was a Democrat til the day he died because of this.

It would have been hard for Dad to NOT vote for a military man... but I hope that he would have stayed true to his heart and soul and voted for the Democrat anyhow. At any rate, his daughter did ;-)

I voted for Barrack Obama today. As usual, I had a smile on my face as I left my polling place. I always feel a sense of pride when I vote but when I see the next generation lined up in this video waiting to vote, my self pride pails in comparison.

I have been in a funk for the last 8 years. I feel like a person who has been been imprisoned unjustly for the last eight years who has just been exonerated.

I want to thank all of you younger voters for coming out to make a diference. It assurs me that our country is in good hands.

I just drove past our polling place in the college town (Pennsylvania) where I work. Amazing! There are college students lined up out the door waiting to vote - at 3:30 PM! They have usually packed it in for the day or are getting ready for dinner and night class but there they are, at the polls, waiting in line to vote! Not just a handful, there must have been 25-30 waiting outside.

The shuttle vans they are running to take students from the campus to the polling place, those vans have been running non-stop all morning and afternoon. I passed several today on the street, each loaded with students coming or going to the poll.

I have lived in this town for nearly 50 years and have worked at this college for 8 years. I have NEVER seen a college student turnout like I am seeing today.

If this is the way it is all over Pennsylvania, at college and university towns, Obama has a very good chance to carry Pennsylvania. These kids asre not voting for McCain or the republicans.

One final note - last Thursday the Obama campaign had Governor Rendell on campus to give a fiery get out the vote speech. It was well attended. I only saw a handful of college republicans demonstrating with their McCain/Palin signs.

Very smart move by the Obama campaign to target PA colleges and universities right before the election.

These comments move me so much. In fact, these stories bring tears to my eyes. The excitement. This is democracy. I feel like we are on the eve of something HUGE. A new way of thinking. Maybe post-capitalism??? I'm not sure about that part, but it's less about competition and more about cooperation. Maybe we won't destroy ourselves as a species, and as a country, quite yet!

I baked an apple pie for my son today and his four roommates. They are a few of the many PSU students who live off campus. He waited on a LONG line on Gill Street to vote...along with all of the other students. It made my heart sing to see such citizenship. Hats off to our youth. Wish I could make a pie for all of you!

I am so happy to see so many young people voting this election, I think that term used when the Japanese bombed Peal Harbor applies "I believe we have awoke a sleeping giant"!

This is the PSU campus where Palin snubbed the Prez. Hope they show their disapproval at the polls!

I live 10 miles away from the Penn State campus. I know that PSU students have been VERY politically active this year, but the fact that a week ago Penn State president Graham Spanier was denied permission by the McCain/Palin staff to welcome Sarah Palin at their rally on the PSU campus may WELL have influenced student voter turnout. HUGE mistake by McCain/Palin to snub a very well-liked and well-respected leader who ALWAYS makes it a point to greet and welcome important visitors to campus. The type of major error that would ensure that Penn State alumni all across the nation would show up to vote for Obama/Biden. Reporting of that snub also made public the fact that Bill Clinton was here the same week and held his rally for free because it was open to the public, while the McCain campaign paid $8000 to rent the facility for their rally because it was by invitation only. How silly to waste $8000 when they could have done it for free. If McCain can't pick staff capable of efficiently overseeing an election campaign, how on earth does he ever think he's capable of handling the job of President? Centre County PA for OBAMA/BIDEN!!!!!!!

THE SLEEPING GIANT HAS AWAKENED. HEAR OUR COLLECTIVE VOICES ROAR. MAKE YOUR VOICES HEARD. VOICES FOR CHANGE. VOICES FOR HOPE. WE HAVE BEEN INSPIRED. OUR PASSION HAS BEEN RESTORED. THE SILENT MAJORITY HAS ONCE AGAIN FOUND ITS VOICE. WE HAVE THE POWER TO CHOOSE WHO REPRESENTS US – AND WHO DOESN’T. WHAT HAPPENS TOMORROW DEPENDS ON WHAT WE ALL DO TODAY.

VOTE OBAMA/BIDEN FOR THE POWER OF CHANGE!
