Palin

The Chicago Tribune reports:

Citing her right to privacy, Gov. Sarah Palin refused to say who she voted for after emerging from her polling place in Wasilla, Alaska. That's right, she wouldn't say she voted for her own presidential ticket. We assume she did, but she stood on principle and wouldn't say. She did say the secret ballot was one of the "cool" things about the U.S. Agreed.

Palin did say, "I hope, pray, believe I will be able to wake up as vice president elect."

Off subject, but I just saw an interview with Chevy Chase. He was asked about Saturday Night Live sketch he did of President Gerald Ford... and the question was: Do you think that SNL influences votes when they are made fun of? His answer: YES! It does affect them getting elected.. He was then asked in this TV interview, did you want Gerald Ford to win. His response: NO, heck no, I wanted Jimmy Carter to win, and then he was asked; So do you think SNL making fun of Palin is because they want her to win. Chevy Chase answered: Well, what do you think.... and laughed this wicked laugh, that gave you a definite answer.

I got the biggest kick out of his laugh. It really answered the question-----YES!

The US Constitution does not guarantee a secret ballot, does it? State Election laws do, but not the constitution. Correct me if I'm wrong.

of course, Roe v Wade was based on a right to privacy, but Palin opposes Roe v Wade...

Because no one can guess that she wrote herself in as President?

Shows what kind of campaign you're running when even the #2 can't proudly say that she's supporting it. That whole party is a joke.

Dems should save video of every Republican house member, senator, and potential presidential nominee who openly supported this woman for V.P. and run it on a constant loop in 2012 and 2016 and 2020...

"______ for President? He supported Sarah Palin in 2008. That's not judgement. etc. etc." Thanks Johnny boy for the gift that will keep on giving.

penchant for secrecy or right to privacy? Palin has proved her penchant for secrecy.

Please stay in Alaska Sarah. I would die a happy person if I never had to hear your shrill vile speeches ever again.

I think that history will record, with no small amount of laughter, the silliness that was the McPalin campaign. If anyone remembers to grab a textbook (or whatever they call textbooks in the future) 40 years from now, just to read what people looked back and wrote about the 2008 election by 2040 or so, I hope whoever reads the text, finds expressions like --
-- "2008 was the last time any party ever tried to win a national election in the U.S. based on deception, scare tactics, and race. Never again would either party dare to campaign on anything but the issues."
-- "Once Barack Obama took office, the US once again stood tall in the eyes of the world."
-- "By 2010, the US Economy was in full recovery. That began a record period of economic growth not seen since the 1990's. And by 2016, thanks to nearly seven years of peace and prosperity, Mr. Obama retired from office with a National Debt rapidly approaching zero."

I hope history records the McFail campaign not with laughter, but with the disgust and disdain they so deserve.

Americans don't study "current history" i.e. anything that happened after WW2... "America is great end of story" or so I was told in high school, no need for the facts! Vietnam was somewhere in the last third of the book, which you never got to by the end of the year...
