Palin Won't Say Who She Voted For

The Chicago Tribune reports:

Citing her right to privacy, Gov. Sarah Palin refused to say who she voted for after emerging from her polling place in Wasilla, Alaska. That's right, she wouldn't say she voted for her own presidential ticket. We assume she did, but she stood on principle and wouldn't say. She did say the secret ballot was one of the "cool" things about the U.S. Agreed.

Palin did say, "I hope, pray, believe I will be able to wake up as vice president elect."

The most galling thing about that quote is the fact that the lying, divisive, hate-monger can sleep at night.

She was trying to hide that she voted for Stevens. There really isn't a doubt that she voted for herself, but of course the question is did you vote for her ticket or write her name in for president.

It is indeed her right, but it's enormously hypocritical of her to exercise it so proudly when one of her policy goals is to overturn..­.our right to privacy (which the Supreme Court cited as justification for legalization of abortion in Roe v. Wade).

I don't know if she's ever spent a minute thinking. She's like a mother bird; she consumes information, then regurgitates it into the waiting mouths of her supporters. There is no digestion, no processing. And another thing: Why does she overuse "also" and "there" so often when she's speaking? One or the other seems appended to the end of every other sentence she utters.

Excellent point. Either we have a right to privacy--in which case Sarah can keep her vote secret, and we can each retain control over our most personal decisions without the government getting in bed with us--or we don't.

Sarah flies back to Alaska just to cast her vote. Then she flies to Arizona to be re-united with John McCain for their "victory celebration" later tonight. Why didn't she vote absentee?
