Barack Obama saved his biggest Virginia rally for last -- a jam-packed event in Manassas with 90,000 people reportedly in attendance. For his conclusion, he "reached back to the roots of his campaign to tell an inspirational story that had long ago fallen from his routine."

The story is about a long drive, a rainy day and how one person can make a difference. It was inspired by a woman he met during a visit to a small South Carolina town in 2007 and became a favorite during his Iowa caucus campaign.

It ends with Obama leading a cheer of "Fired up, Ready to Go!"

Obama ended the event on Tuesday by telling the crowd: "In 21 hours, if you are willing to endure rainfall, to take the person who was not going to vote to the polls, if you will stand with me in a fight with me, I know that your voice will matter. I have one question for you, Virginia. Are you fired up? Are you ready to go? Fired up? Ready to go? Fired up! Ready to go! Virginia, let's go change the world!"

Meanwhile, a fired-up John McCain told supporters to "be strong and fight" in an election eve rally Monday, his last before voters in swing state Nevada weigh in.

"My opponent is measuring the drapes in the White House. They may not know it, but the Mac is back! And we're going to win this election," McCain said to the screaming crowd. "Don't give up hope! Be strong and fight!"

The Arizona senator's evening rally at the Henderson Pavilion was the final leg of daylong, multistate campaign blitz. The candidate appeared surprised and energized by a crowd that greeted him with loud chants of "USA!" and "American hero!"

More than 10,000 people attended the event, according to facility manager Dianne Mizelle. The number makes it McCain largest in the state to date.

I have been up since 2:30 AM in California. Can't sleep. This is going to be a long day for me until at least 4PM when the polls in the East start closing.

I can't even pray because I don;t believe in God but I am hoping the spirits are with Obama. I know mine are.

honey, prayer works.

Your kind thoughts and your "hoping the spirits are with Obama" are a prayer of your own soul.

Especially after the Republican chair of the Prince William County Board of Supervisors chased the Hispanic population off. Now, there are so many vacant houses, the home values have dropped to less than 50 cents on the dollar.

Uh, no. The hispanic population did not get chased off. They are loud and strong in that county. The vacant houses are not a result of "kicking the hispanics out", which is what your statement seems to imply. It is a result of foreclosures, just like we are seeing everywhere in the nation.

Home values have not dropped that low either. Not sure where you get your stats from.

McCain/Rove Will Try To Steal the Election with Voting Machine Fraud in Swing States -Republican I/T voter machine computer guru Michael Connell testified yesterday! Rove tried to stop the subpoena, but the judge had the grit to forge ahead. Finally somebody is standing up to these Republicans CROOKS!

I know this is a bit late..BUT..

Are there volunteers, better yet Obama Volunteers in the states with lines that could go pass out water and snacks, rent porta potties?

Please, check out Oregon's Mail in Ballot system! I would eliminate these Long Lines, Voter shenanigans...

Urge your Law Makers to consider this System!

We could also have Biometric voting systems. If the information which is already national is simply attached to a biometric system then the voter only has to walk up, place their hand on the machine, and vote. It would be a simple process to insure that is all it can be used for (laws), and that the information is simply can you vote and have you already voted. That way the only information it has is WHERE you voted. That way if you were on vacation you simply walk in and vote.

Simple stuff, I have it on my laptop, my friend on his gun safe.

Poor Barack looks exhausted. I do hope that he is able to take a vacation before starting the hardest job in the world. God Bless him & his family.

He just lost the one person who raised him to be the decent human being that he is. Does not surprise me that he looks exhausted.

If Barack, a young, physically fit man is exhausted after this very long, grueling campaign, can you imagine how McCain must be feeling? I don't think he'll have enough strength left to attend his own concession party tonight.

But that's okay. He can now retire and enjoy the rest of his days in the Arizona sunshine.

My best friend got her citizenship in February and just text messaged me that she, too, rocked the vote!

Have a GREAT DAY everybody! Change the World!

My long times friends in PA, life long republicans (but moderates) are voting for Obama. All of their kids are doing the same (Scranton area)

I called them on Sunday to make sure they were still on the same page and they are. They are even excited to be voting for him.

Yayyyy

I caught this live last night before I went to bed and there was something very moving about his speech. I don't know if he went off script to tell this or was just off telelprompter but he told this story of the woman in Carolina and it was just an amazing story and told so well. It was very touching and one final reminder as to why I began supporting this man four years ago. After the 2004 Convention speech I said "this man will someday be president." Never thought I would possibly see it so soon but I am very very happy about it.

Yeah - 2004. I had those same feelings back than. The feeling why is this man not running...?
