Tom Hanks "Angels And Demons" First Look (VIDEO)

The movie isn't out until May 2009, but the "Angels and Demons," the prequel to Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code" starring Tom Hanks and directed by Ron Howard, is highly anticipated and has already released a teaser trailer, seen below. The film also stars Ewan McGregor as a priest.

Saw "Angels & Demons" at a film festival. Great movie. I think Hanks will win Best Actor. Great special effects showing him through the decades.

Gary Sinise was marvelous. Captured his character's anger just right.

Thought though the ending was too cliche. I mean you just knew Jenny's little boy was his.

I read this book seven years ago and ever since wanted to get a tattoo of the significant image in the book...

It's what made me a Dan Brown fan.

I always liked Tom Hanks ever since he hired my former bookmaker, Paulie DiCocco Jr. Paul's father was my partner in 3 bars and my close associate in the Lansky Group. The DiCocco family were as fine a group of people that you could find in this nation. It was my privalige to work with Paulie's father for 20 years. I read this book about a year after I went to Italy on vacation and it was so very gratifying to read about many of the places I visited. That has always been Dan Brown's strength, to weave real details into a fictional story in such a way as to bring it thoroughly to life.

For my money, Angels and Demons was ten times the story of The Davinci Code. It is a book worthy of reading again and again. Next trip to Italy I'm taking a copy of it with me as a travel guide for the places I missed before.

I'm looking forward to the movie, even though I don't think this is a very effective trailer. I enjoyed the book, but not quite as much as The DaVinci Code. Still, I will go and predict this will be a big hit.

Great book, in some ways better than Da Vinci Code. Just hope this movie is a better adaptation.
