Can Sarah Palin go home again?

In the 68 days since Alaska's governor began her run for vice president, things have changed on the home front. Some of her former allies are fuming, and former enemies are lying in wait. Public perceptions of the governor have also changed. Has the governor changed as well?

Questions about Palin's future began to circulate at Alaska's Election Central on Tuesday night almost as soon as the national election results came in.

I don't doubt one bit that Palin has changed. Her selection by McCain gave her a hunger for politics and power on a national level that she probably couldn't even imagine before. She's a shark, and when McCain introduced her to national politics and recognition, it was like throwing chum in the water with her.

When Palin was first introduced to us as the super-woman I remarked to my friends that it was absolutely impossible for her to accomplish all that they say she did in one day. The story was that she had five kids, a job as a governor and (this is what tipped me off) ran ten miles a day. As a working mother, I know that this is impossible (unless you run really, really fast).

Once again, we should have listened to our instincts and shouted louder rather than taking their word for it.

That was far too close for comfort. It puts a pit in my stomach to see just how close she came to that appointment. This is completely unforgivable, shameful, and inexcusable. May the neo conservative movement evaporate and never be redeemed, it's time for the true conservatives to take back their party from the intellectually stunted.

Letting them drive the ship with their prideful ignorance has been like handing a toddler a bottle of gin and the steering wheel.

EDUCATION and KNOWLEDGE are at the minimum of requirements for any form of power and leadership.

Let this lesson not be forgotten in the decades to come. let them slither back under the rocks from which they came, or be offered free courses at their local community colleges on the behalf of the American people. Take this chilling revelation as a lesson and a warning to always make sure you engage yourself in each election and VOTE!
