Karl Rove Reacts To Obama Win: "A Great Symbol Of What America's All About," Obama Still Has "Big Hurdle To Climb"

Karl Rove reacted to Barack Obama's win Tuesday night on Fox News, saying "every American ought to celebrate tonight."

"It is a hopeful and optimistic thing for our country, and for the world it's a great symbol of what America's all about," Rove said, urging all Americans to hope and pray for Obama's success.

Rove's comments did center on race, and the post-racial America Obama inherits as President. He also claimed that "we've had an African American first family for many years," citing the Cosby Show as one example.

"He is young, he is aspirational, and Americans have invested a lot in him, but they still have doubts," Rove said. "He's got a big hurdle to climb."

Rove comments are ridiculos!!!

1) People voted for him because they forgot the Civil Rights movement. WTF? No one who is old enough to remember or has knowledge of the Civil Rights movement through learning it from school, has forgotten its significance. Moreover, no one voted for him because they forgot it, but arguably because they remember it or because they choose to look beyond all of those racial tensions.

2) We've had a first African American family: The Cosby Show. WTF? What a way to trivialize the significance of this moment and for that matter, the black experience.

I don't know if you all have been following what has been going on in regard to Rove's IT guru (Connelly) who was forced to give his deposition under oath regarding the software he used during the 2004 election when he transfered voting numbers out of Ohio and routed it into the whitehouse where Rove changed the numbers so the Shrub could win another ghastly 4 years.

This man should be in jail. I hope the depositions lead to an indictment and Rove is slammed with a RICO charge.
