I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Karl Rove reacted to Barack Obama's win Tuesday night on Fox News, saying "every American ought to celebrate tonight."

"It is a hopeful and optimistic thing for our country, and for the world it's a great symbol of what America's all about," Rove said, urging all Americans to hope and pray for Obama's success.

Rove's comments did center on race, and the post-racial America Obama inherits as President. He also claimed that "we've had an African American first family for many years," citing the Cosby Show as one example.

"He is young, he is aspirational, and Americans have invested a lot in him, but they still have doubts," Rove said. "He's got a big hurdle to climb."

Whaaaa??? We've had an AA first family for years??? THE COSBY SHOW FAMILY??? Those are fictitious characters!!! This guy is an idiot, and the history of this event is completely lost on him. There are many of us who truly do appreciate this great moment in history that will be discussed for centuries. Rove is a HAS-BEEN, harkening from a terrible, predatory time in our history that he helped create. We've moved on in case he hasn't noticed. We have taken back our country from the crooks led by Rove. Perhaps that's why Rove is downplaying this event...he is publicly denying his new-found irrelevance. Go away--back to under the slimy rock from which you emerged, Mr. Rove. You are done here.

I hope that sentiment is included in his opening statements at his trial for war crimes at the Hague.

Got your bags packed for Dubai, Karl? If Tuesday has roused Pelosi from her coma, you're finally going to jail.

Rove is nothing short of a fascist and should be banned from being allowed anywhere near our political system.

What the hell is going on.... Rove was verging on the gracious, McCain's concession speech was maybe the lovliest, most gracious such speech I've ever heard... I'm confused... pleased, but confused.

Rove is backpedaling as fast as he can because he knows he belongs in prison and Obama has the ability to put him there for his crimes against the US. He needs to emmigrate to Paraguay or somewhere out of the country that he tried to destroy.

See the post directly below and Bearangaria's.

He has sold the wrong track we've been on and any kissing up he's doing now should be seen as trying to soften the harshness he has coming to him.

Less you get confused and start feeling all sentimental, listen again to McCain's concession speech particularly the part at which he mentioned Obama by name and the crowd booed. We still have a long way to go.

Oh, I'm a little confused but not THAT confused.
I am pleased, though, to have seen a moment of good behavior.

Rove needs to just shut-up!! All he's done is bring this country down, now he's trying to gain credibility among those who he so sorely wronged. NO!!

This man needs to be in prison. I know Obama won't pursue him because that would be divisive, but this man is a criminal and needs to pay for his crimes against the US.

I hope that he'll fall into an environment where he's unemployable and he becomes the pariah he sought to make of anyone who didn't agree with him or Bush.

What a creep.

We cancelled Newsweek when they gave this bozo a column and a voice. He should be in jail with his Bush buds.

Wow, the ultimate flip flopper hypocrite of all time... and he does it so well with such fake sincerity, maybe he is looking for a new "suck up" job?

Mr. Rove,
One "leaps" over hurdles.
And the slimey, prejudiced, hate built, disenfranchising,
ones you helped place, one, by one with your cohorts in crime
are going to be leapt. With the country's help
President Elect Obama will leap over ever lie you ever
sold and then climb every pile of bull you dumped for the
country to clear.

I'm pleased with comments from Rove and McCain -- but the conservative disc jockeys this morning are still full of vile bile. "Rick and Bubba" entertained the notion -- without question -- that BET said vote for Obama because drug dealers are just trying to make money and shouldn't receive long sentences. And they said sarcastically, Well now this just proves all racism is gone, Jesse Jackson was crying because he no longer has a job and he thought it should be him, etc. Honestly. The utter lack of any sense of one's bigotry or the history at hand and its significance -- or even just a fleeting modicum of respect -- is appalling.

Time to start boycotting the products advertised on their airtime.

It is sad that he is even given air time. And that comment about America already having had an African American First Family, please someone ... Talk me down. His actions in the past 8 plus years have been despicable and his comments continue to be so. Let's not given him the time of day, move on. He is now obsolete, an anachronism. Thank you America. Hope lives.
