To say that music and musicians have been an integral part of the 2008 Obama presidential campaign would be an understatement. In addition to obvious efforts like will.i.am's "Yes We Can" song and video, many people may not be aware that in collaboration with the Obama campaign, Steve McKeever and his team at Hidden Beach Records put together the first-ever official political soundtrack album.

This unprecedented compilation album had the overwhelming support and participation of many superstar recording artists spanning all genres of music such as John Legend, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Ritchie, Kanye West, Bebe Winans and Dave Stewart and more. There were so many great submissions, over 150 songs in a one week time, that the label and the campaign had a very tough time deciding what to finally include on the album. It was originally produced as a fundraiser for the Obama campaign, but it was unfortunately released just after the anti-Obama "celebrity" campaign launched and as the financial crisis was hitting. So at the time the album did not receive the attention it deserved. With the campaign now behind us, this musical cry for "Change" can now be enjoyed as a celebration of President-elect Obama and cherished by future generations as a memento of his historic candidacy.

By clicking on the MagNet player below, for the first time you can sample - and buy - the album right here on the Huffington Post. And if you buy the album here, you will also get a bonus track not previously available which is exclusive to the Huffington Post edition. It's a new song called "Obama Rock" by The Not So Silent Majority, a collective of musicians and artists including Danielle Brisebois (writer/producer of Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten" and "Pocketful Of Sunshine", Paul McCartney's guitarist Rusty Anderson, Rick Nowels (writer of Dido's "White Flag") and Gregg Alexander (writer of Santana's "Game Of Love" and New Radicals' "You Get What You Give") as well as many other musicians.

Hidden Beach is planning on releasing an Obama Soundtrack Vol. 2 in the new future with a lot of the great music that they wanted to put on this album so stay tuned. In the meantime, enjoy! For more information go to hiddenbeach.com

Yes we can...and as long as each and every person doesn't just talk that talk; but walks dat walk; we can turn this country around. We can rebuild our economy; we can repair our relationships with the world. We can make sure every child has the opportunity to the best education and medical care.

Last night my daughter who is in her 2nd year at Williams College called me and said "You always told me I could be anything Iwanted; a part of me never truly believed it, but now, but now I really believe it."
Yes we can! thank you for giving this gift of knowledge to my daughter and every other person of color in the world!

I would like to share with you and any potentially audience a very special music composition that pays tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy and historic dream. The moving lyrics convey proof that Dr. Kings' historic and magnificent dream is still revealing itself. As Barack Obama approaches this historic accomplishment of being elected as President of the United States, it confirms that Dr. King's dream is still very much alive.

As the chorus reads:
King's Dream still lives on
Inside of us today
Time has come
For his vision to be realized
Though the journey's been long...
We're finding the strength to carry on

Yes but now all of us need to walk the walk. Sacrifice is a word that has been extremely foreign to the American public. Community Service is something that is going to need millions of new volunteers. It is not about getting rich quick, receiving recognition or being selfish. I hope to see most Americans join me and others "where the rubber meets the road."

Hey CanuckforObama, a "white guy from up in Canada" spent over 20 hours dutifully escorting my precious adopted baby daughter on the airplane journey from from South Korea to Michigan in 1997. Last night she sat with me and watched as a man of color was elected to the presidency. :)

Give it 100 days. Then Obama will be where he has avoided his entire career...in the center of attention. No more democratic excuses. No more finger pointing at republicans. Now you are in charge. enjoy.

Bush will be gone.

Republicans will be in the minority.

Time to put up or shut up. Biden will be his usual eloquently goofy self. Democrats will suddenly not be wearing those tshirts. Cups will be put on the back of the shelf. The congressonal elections will be around in 24 short months. Democrats will be turning on each other. The Congress will go republican. And Obama will be a one term president who will be best known for his speechs, and his failures, as Hillary said.

Now THAT's Bitter!

Obama has been left an ungodly mess to clean up, but whatever he does, he will not be making mistakes out of carelessness, lack of knowledge, lack of research, or false bravado. That's a sea-change.

And it will benefit everyone, including you, Shirtyperson. Have a cup of tea or go see a movie. I remember how it feels--- four years ago, I was crushed.

If Obama runs his admin anything like his ground game and campaign, we have nothing to worry about-there will be challenges, but he won't spit out signing statements to subvert the checks and balances. America is getting back to it's roots- suck it up joyriders.

100 days?

Nah. We gave Bush nearly 2 years to prove he was not what we feared, and he turned out to be worse than we imagined. Even if McCain had won (and I'm thrilled he didn't) I would have given him a year to prove himself, plus my quiet support for the office he would have held.

That is the least Obama's opponents can do if they truly care about country over politics. We need to put an end to partisan divisiveness and come together as Americans.

Oh, come on...100 days? Damn, firstshirt, we gave W far longer than that...and he disappointed us all the way. I'm one of those voters who wasn't supposed to be an Obama supporter. You know, a white older woman, pro-choice, married for 39 years, and registered as a Republican...I told the clerk at the voting place that for the first time in my life, it was only now possible for ANYONE to become President.

We can only thank God that the Bush will be gone! I wish he could leave TODAY.

Does Obama's victory mean that the Republicans in Congress will continue to stomp their feet, sputter angry nonsense from their foamy mouths, and threaten to hold their breath until they die? It seems that that is all they have done in the last two years.

Thank heavens the half-baked Alaskan Gov. can now return to her frozen empire, where she can quietly sit and watch for Putin to rear his head....it is because of her that I have changed my voting registration permanently to the Democratic party!! Sorry that you seem to be so bitter, I remember that feeling quite well.

Ah, have a little compassion. It has been a long cold winter for democrats. They go for splash now, not substance. He isn't even up to the standards of Bill Clinton. It is all part of the momentum of eyewash. But it will soon be over. No more parties and gatherings in stadiums. I suspect that in a few short months he won't be able to fill a coffee shop with supporters.

Being in charge is something Barry has never had to do. Ever. You guys picked someone who needs on the job training. Enjoy.

What Obama understands is that all the great movements in this country have had a "soundtrack". It is the music that keeps people connected and inspired to keep working long after the euphoria of singular victories wears off.

That's exactly the kind of endorsement the president of the United states should have right? The biggest hollywood celebrities, rappers, talk show hosts, these people REALLY represent the average americans that are looking for change.

The White House guests list will be unbelievable, they may need to roll out the red carpet for the guests that may be coming for dinner there. Think of all the deep conversations that will take place at the dinner table. "Sean P. Diddy, when you going to send Michelle and I some samples from your spring line?"

Oh, and don't forget Bill ayers will come for dinner too. That will be deep.
