Obama's Replacement In Senate: Gov. Says No Rush

Chicago Tribune:

Gov. Rod Blagojevich said today he's "not interested" in appointing himself to replace Barack Obama in the U.S. Senate, but did not expressly rule out the option.

The governor held a news conference to say he's setting up a committee of senior staff members to vet potential Obama successors. Blagojevich said some candidates already have approached him and the administration about the opening, but he declined to say who.

Sounds like he's gonna wait until Mr. O gets his staff, Cabinet and other appointees in place..then see who's left. That would make sense.
