Rahm Emanuel has reportedly been tapped for Obama's Chief of Staff.

He's undoubtedly qualified and has the enforcer mentality the job may just require. This is a serious, but decidedly un-cuddly pick.

I'm from Chicago...Emmanuel is a "do whatever it takes" kinda guy. Sometimes it's not pretty, but if we need to get a lot of things done ....and we do...he's the one to do it. He has gotten older and mellowed a bit, so don't look for anymore passionate outbursts, but he is passionate none the less.

There will not be a lot of pretentiousness with him. This saves a lot of time. Neither Republicans or Democrats can look forward to much stroking of egos. Probably this is what the populace needs right now.....and Obama can use a guy like this to move forward quickly. Many Washingtonians with giant egos will find him offensive....they will have a humbling experience and then we can move on. Lieberman, McCain and Boehner will have their nose out of joint, but so will Pelosi and Reid.

I would not mind having this guy as my right hand man....especially given the circumstances we're in
