Reid To Meet With Lieberman To Discuss Committee Chairmanship

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will likely meet later this week with Joe Lieberman to discuss whether the Democrat-turned-Independent will be stripped of his Senate committee chairmanship, a senior Democratic leadership aide tells CNN.

Lieberman currently chairs the Senate's Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

This aide says that Reid, who is calling the meeting, has not yet decided what to do. The aide admits that the decision will be determined in part by the final election results -- and just how close the party is to a filibuster-proof 60-seat majority -- but insists that the biggest factor involved is lingering anger among Senate Democrats over Lieberman's Republican convention speech.

Hey liberals! Joe didn't shift his political views. Like me, the Democrats shifted thier political views.

The Democratic Party went from:
Being for the middle class Americans to being only for the elitists and welfare queens.
Being for gun owners and freedom to being for criminal anti-gun control.
Being for life to being abortionist baby killers (Fetus is a LATIN BASED MEDICAL TERM FOR -get this political term idiots- a BABY).
Being for LEGAL immigration to being for ILLEGAL ALIENS.

Being for honest elections to being for ACORN's voter fraud, no id voting, and generally rigged elections.

I could go on, but what difference does it make to demogogs like the liberals?

All liberals know is: "GET JOE, MAKE HIM PAY" for being an honest man who is concerned about America's future.

He can't be allowed to continue as a politican since he doesn't toe the liberal party line can he!?!

You liberals have to remember, this is conservative America....even 1/2 of your politicians are conservative,,,look at the Democrats that won election in 2006 and 2008 over the Republicans. They all espouse conservative ideals.

Bring the "assaualt weapons ban" back.
Won't vote for Gay "Marriage".
Won't vote for radical changes.

Conservatives think business can run the country in their interests. However, this model of running the country on business principles has once again fallen flat on its face because of the dishonesty and incompetence of American business interests. It is solely about power and money, only.

Liberals get slammed from the Right for believing that the business of government is to protect Citizens from business's predatory practices. You never see a "Workers" section in the newspapers because business knows that in the fight for power and money it is their perogative to hire and fire at will and protect investors at all costs, even at the cost of the long range interests of the industry such as logging and fishing. It isn't even enlightened self-interest.

Without strong checks on conservative ideals and to protect the country from wars for profit (Iraq) and weapons in the street that turn cities into war zones, we need to clamp down on run-a-muck corporate interests because they are not interested in the life of the nation at all.

Off shore drilling and money laundering and hoarding, arm sales, and environmental degradation do nothing to protect individuals in the path of developer's bulldozers. Profit, not patriotism is the mantra of conservative business ideals and that is the difference between Liberal ideals and Conservative. To claim patriotism and love of country while begging for welfare from the State (700 billion) is the lie of American business its Conservative apologists.

The last eight years, you got the president you wanted & he bankrupted the country, robbed you, your children & grandchildren of the American dream. No upward mobility for you, your kids and grandkids. No secure job, no retirement (you'll work until you die, if you can find a job). No affordable college education, your kids will know only minimum wage jobs - If they can find them. You'd better hope for great health until you die because you won't have access to affordable health care, You'll be getting sicker, due to increased environmental pollutants. Food & water shortages are starting to occur, which is also going to wreck your health. The air quality is worsening, making more people sick, not to mention the worsening global warming due to the increased gases in the atmosphere.

But you've got your gun, and you've prevented gay people from enjoying equal rights as other Americans. People you may or may not know (or even you) will be forced to go through with pregnancies they don't want and have children that they aren't equipped to raise. Without a job, without the means to take care of yourself much less a baby, they'll have no choice. Without affordable prenatal care, the numbers of children born with special needs is increasing while the homes willing & equipped to handle these children keeps diminishing. Within five years, we'll be warehousing unwanted children until our bankrupted government can't borrow anymore money to keep any programs running.

I said this before, Lieberman should have hoped for the Democrats to get to 60 seats in the Senate, anything less and there is little reason for the Democrats to have anything more to do with him. I can't see him keeping any committee chairmanships. He will be the most ineffectual Senator from this day forth and I can't see him ever being re-elected. If he switches to the Republican party I have to imagine that it will cause a huge backlash in his home state. I don't know whether or not their constitution allows for recalls but if they do I would guess he would be in serious danger if that is the case.
