I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Sherri Shepherd broke down in tears on "The View" Wednesday talking about Barack Obama's victory. The mother of a young son with special needs, Sherri related to Sarah Palin and had been openly undecided. But with Obama's victory, she broke down over the historic win of an African American. Speaking of the Civil Rights Movement and the limitations she was told she had had growing up, Sherri said in part, "To look at my baby and go, you don't have to have limitations..." and she broke down in tears.

You're right...I hate the fact that this woman relates to Sarah Palin, who just had this baby who she was never around because she was busy slandering Obama. How in the world could she have been undecided? Palin never cared about special needs until she had this child and now suddenly she's a spokesman? F THAT!

But then again, perhaps she was just saying that...who knows, but to even say that you don't know after everything that went on makes me lose repsect for her.

so..she's crying at...her own ignorance and myopia?

Give it up, if you cared about Obama, why were you so undecided until THE END!

I'm with you on that! What does Palin having a child with special needs have to do with her qualifications as a Vice-President? Is that the only thing about Palin that spoke to Sherry?

People Come On!!!!

The fact that she "had been openly undecided" tells us everything we need to know about this talentless nitwit.

I am an African-America woman and I was truly touched by the election of Barack Obama. Yes I cried and continue to well up every now and then. But Sherri, PLEASE, save the drama for 30 Rock. Just a couple of days before, she allegedly was "undecided"...Why Barbara Walters has her on the show I will never know...its a slap in the face.

I would like to share with you and any potentially audience a very special music composition that pays tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy and historic dream. The moving lyrics convey proof that Dr. Kings' historic and magnificent dream is still revealing itself. As Barack Obama approaches this historic accomplishment of being elected as President of the United States, it confirms that Dr. King's dream is still very much alive.

As the chorus reads:
King's Dream still lives on
Inside of us today
Time has come
For his vision to be realized
Though the journey's been long...
We're finding the strength to carry on

Lets face facts ... Sherri Sheppard is mentally challenged to equate with a normal average US citizen.

I find Sheri Shepherd so disingenuous. Her limitation is being uneducated and remaining so. Maybe that's why she identified with Sarah Palin because they share the same ignorance.

Ditto. Her commentary is useless. WHY is she on TV--to boot, that 'commentary' is, in fact, her job? Sorry if that seems harsh, but since that's her job in the entertainment business...well, she's got no talent.

I thought Whoopi and Joy's excitement was genuine, Sherri's was phony because she didn't know who she was voting for as of last Friday! I've been a fan of Obama all along, that give's me more right to cry than you! Shame on You for considering McCain/Palin simply because she has a handicap child. Handicap children all over this country are well taken care of by the govt, they get monthly ssi, those that can go to school get picked and taken home by a special bus, I don't know what Sarah Palin was going to do to make it better for these children.

Exactly! I've been to two wars now and have many family members who have fought and been injuried in many wars...I guess I should have sided with McCain? Sherry should be the host for Jerry Springer, not the View.

Then again, she did give us a different view...a phony one!

What a phony. She was on a radio station days before the election and said she was going to vote for Obama and she was going to say it on the View. --she never did!

Change "walked" to "marched" and you've got a great poem.

As a proud postal worker of over 30 tears I resent Sherri's remarks. Unlike the automotive, banking and retail industries we have a no lay off clause. Our health benefits are great along with our generous salary. Not everyone is uneducated in the USPS.

Please do not be offended. She didn't mean that there was anything wrong with being a postal worker. Her statement was to the fact that for a long time, there were only certain careers that a black person could have, which limited the potential of many black people. Postal work is great for a person that wants to do that, however if you want to be a scientist or a public figureand are told that you can only be something else, it is seen as a limitation.

Um..... she likes PALIN....because she has a handicapped child? What the? How does that matter in selecting a president or v president? She was UNDECIDED until the last minute? I'm sorry, but she's not smarter than Lizbeth.

I did, however, love Whoopi's gleaming smile.

She was undecided in the same way that Palin is the nation's foremost authority on energy.
At least Elizabeth had the decency to keep her yap shut.

She needed to keep her trap shut, it's been open and going for two years straight. It's about time she shut the F up.

OK, so Palin has a Down syndrome child. How that would trump having an intelligent President for a change who also happens to be the first African-American with Sherri Shepard is beyond me. I mean, Palin doesn't even know Africa is a CONTINENT. And Palin ridiculed fruit fly research, for heaven's sake. Fruit flies and mice are the two species scientists use to do research into medical issues such as autism. I can't believe Shepard was beguiled by Palin, but then lots of people were. At least now the truth is coming out about what a greedy, immature dunce she really is.
