Just think if McCain had won.....

He would not know how to log into his own site and he would have to ask (hopefully former) Senator Stevens which tube to use......

lol That's a little unfair, because it's well known that his arms can't reach far enough to touch a keyboard (he can't even lift his arm high).

Still, the concept of change.gov is pretty impressive. I'm really curious to see if it'd take off well. Can't wait to see the results in a year's time. I hope it'll work.

Thats all up to us...the citizens. Obama is asking us to not just elect him and sit back and hope he solves all the problems. He's asking us to participate in the government. So it WILL take off IF we want to actively participate in improving our government.

Under Bush, we learned that it's better to be pissed off than pissed on.

No more trickle-down voodoonomics. Yay!

When was the last time you had the opportunity to present your ideas to the President of the United States and his administration?

Oh, right--NEVER.

A great web site idea - asking for ideas and suggestions! Primary interest to me is the Agenda section entitled: “Revitalizing the Economy”. This Agenda item is a great starting point for a class project in my macroeconomics classes.
I see "A letter to Mr. President-elect" from all the students in my macroeconomics classes. Or perhaps a separate letter from each student. Either way, what a great way to keep young college students involved!

Isn't it amazing? I think we have all forgotten how a competent person operates. I think he has hit the ground running.

What, no "contribute" button? This can't be an Obama site.

I think "apply" qualifies, don't you?

all the contributions were very well utilized by the obama campaign. i am completely satisfied with how i spent my money :). they didn't use my money to go on a shopping spree at neiman or saks.

I to am completely satisfied with how the campaign spent my donations. I would have continued to give more just for President Obama to clench the race, which he did. I have no qualms about it whatsoever. I would have been hot as fire had I donated to the McC campaign only to find out that it went to clothe the moose.

REPEAL THE $700 BILLION BAIL OUT
Now THERE'S Change. Since the Banks aren't loaning money ANYWAY and the Market was down 400 yesterday & 400+ today & the Bail out is having No effect, why not give the money to the TAXPAYERS.

This is cool but what exactly does it do? I think there should be polls on major issues or some way to organize requests by the American people so that the Administration can can direct feedback on stuff from us, like with the bail out for example.

It's a great start. He just won the election 2 days ago. If he's doing this in 2 days, I'm sure this idea will grow into a very effective tool. There is a section for people to submit their story or their vision. I think the polls is a good idea for registered (confirmed) users only. Taking the time to write your story and vision requires more thought than selecting an item on a poll. The polls are okay, but they are troll bait.

There is a place to submit your ideas. Who knows whose job it is to actually sort through them all!!

Gee, this website launched today...I'm certain that it will grow in ways you couldn't even imagine.

I can say this with certainty because I was witnessed the growth and progression of his campaign website from it's infancy.

I am curious about something else you mentioned though...the bailout has been in process...for how long? Has the bailout just now come to your attention?

It is less than a day old./.. as all things on the internet it will certainly evolve. More in one day than Bush in 8 years... lets give it a chance...
