President-elect Barack Obama has launched the website change.gov, where one can find news about the transition and inauguration and information about his agenda. The site also has a place for people to share their ideas for government and their stories about the campaign.

The site is crammed but I hope Obama has a great site while president. I remember him promising to show the voters every bill he signs for 3 days before he signs it...
Could we write a federal law that really puts teeth into voting regulations and procedures??? is it possible to make it impossible that no election will ever be stolen again???
This is so great. Have you ever seen anything like this. It makes me feel like I am a part of this country and this was our campaign. I am going to start crying all over again.
I really feel like this country is in good hands now.
The practice of grass roots campaigns for change continues, and with this, I have even more faith that we will see changes sooner than later.

Yes! I was hoping that he would use the internet during his presidency the way he did during the election and he is. This is fantastic! I hope that he does a daily or weekly internet address to the American people. I would love to wake up and listen to our President.

I do have a proposition and I am unsure if anyone else has talked about it, but here it is:
Universal Preventative Healthcare
I even convinced my conservative father it is a good idea. His arguement regarding Univ. Healthcare has always been the long waits and substandard care received in countries such as Canada. I asked him where he heard this because I have heard it as well from many American conservatives, but never actually from canadians. Anyway, it would be very effective for the feds because they could stagger everyone's annual check-up to avoid the wait issue, they could still pay the doctors roughly the same money they get now and it would actually save the government in the long run because unhealthy people are very expensive. Our employers and us would still carry accidental and catastrophic insurance at a very discounted rate.
The arguement had been that health costs were so high because the greed of the doctors. Then, the blame shifted to frivilous lawsuits before we realized it was the pharmacudicals who were becoming billionaires off of our health! The pharms run the FDA for Christ sakes!
