I Like ItI Don’t Like It

The White House never seems to have a shortage of pets and throughout history the pets have received a great deal of press coverage. The current White House website features biographies of President Bush's pets, and when President Clinton's dog Buddy died in 2002 the media covered the death as though the animal were a human family member.

What kind of dog will Obama pick?

Taft had a pet COW?? Maybe that explains why the Republicans have been a bit crazy ever since the Taft Administration.

Checkers is reported to have had chronic prostate problems. It is a wretched fate to be a spaniel. Being Nixon's pet was even worse than being a spaniel. It may disclosed that Nixon abused his animals in addition to abusing his wife. It's event that Nixon's Quaker background didn't change his character. Nixon will be one of the wretched examples in any book entitled, "When Good People Have Unbelievably, Intolerably, Wretched Children". Nixon is a fine example of why infantacide should be legalized.

It would be nice if they considered adopting a former racing greyhound. They are very low key dogs, very friendly, hypoalergenic, and they have one of the most beautiful profiles of any dog. They would be showing a very good example by saving one of these magnificent animals. We adopted our big guy Shawn 4 years ago and we also act as a foster home for retired racers. The two girls still would need a puppy though.

I overheard a conversation at a breeder. The first family's dog will be a female black standard poodle, a gift from the people of France, to named Liberty or Libby for short.

There is only one dog for the Obamas and that is a westie a West Highland Terrier.
first it is sort of a white Scottie an antithesis to the Bushes' but the are hypoallergenic. loves Kids Spunky and absolutely lovable. I have had two westies and both of them had thousands of friends realy and literally.

I have 9 Black Lab Mixed puppies that were born on Election Day. The pups are being raised in a loving, nurturing home and will adapt well to change. They were born outside of a small Illinois town and would be a great fit for the Obama family at the White House.

I would say the labradoodle or westy.

President Obama should get a Boxer. They have really short hair and are the greatest breed for anyone who owns them. Once you own a boxer you agree that they are the best dog in the world. President Obama wants to get a shelter dog. There is a dog rescue for Boxers in Wisconsin called Green Acres Boxer Rescue. I'm sure they would hook they president up with a dog or puppy . Their website is

I think they are slightly limited in choice because of allergies. But we have a couple of neighbors with Labradoodles and they all are very friendly, smart dogs who are good with kids. So, good pick! I hope they get one from rescue or a shelter though.

OK, so I've suddenly become a HUGE fan of Taft! It takes real class to have a pet cow, not to mention then grazing it outside the State, War and Navy Building. Kudos!

I hear the name of the new pup will either be Maverick or Joe the Puppy. ;-)
