Palin: Africa Charge Comes From 'Small, Bitter Person' (VIDEO)

Last night, Fox News' Carl Cameron reported some astounding news -- according to top John McCain aides, Sarah Palin did not know Africa was a continent. Today, via Think Progress, Palin dismissed the story, saying a "small, evidently bitter type of person" made "foolish ... false allegations." However, she did not specifically refute the Africa claim or any of the other charges related by Cameron. Watch:

OPEN LETTER TO SARAH:

Sarah, when you joined the Republican party, what did you expect? Did you expect loyalty from a party that is known for disloyalty? Did you expect appreciation from a party that doesn't appreciate anyone who is not contributing something to them? And when you accepted the nomination for VP did you expect to be surrounded by anyone but "small, bitter people?" The entire Republican party, and especially the McCain camp, is filled with small, bitter people.

But don't take it personally. It is not like they don't like you. It's not like they don't respect you. It's not that they think you turned the campaign into a laughing stock. It has nothing to do with you. It is them that they hate. They hate having picked you, having put you on the ticket without vetting you first. They hate that they put all their faith in you, that they told the world how much everyone is going to love you. They hate themselves because they loved you... and even though they knew it was a bad marriage, they wanted to believe that you were their great white hope.

Oh well. It's all water under the bridge. Now you can sit comfortably in Alaska and call them names. Get the first dude to build you a fire, take off your Gucci shoes and give you a foot massage. You'll be fine.

Sarah Palin may be fine as governor of Alaska, but she is not qualified to be either President or Vice President of the United States of America. Although, she will have 4 years to bone up on geography, foreign policy, and basic U.S.A. politics, she will still not be "ready" to hold the highest office in the land. The women's rights struggle that our great grandmother's began over a hundred years ago, should be honored with a woman President, who truly deserves it. More importantly, that woman President should be one who truly represents us.

While I don't like her, I think it is disgusting the way FOX and McCain folks are treating her. She is not the brightest person, but I will not believe any of the things that FOX or McCain's people say. John McCain should come out and defend her and then make sure she stays in Alaska.
