ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin has returned to her home state of Alaska, where she was greeted by dozens of supporters encouraging her to run for president in four years.

The crowd chanted "2012! 2012!" as Palin disembarked her airplane at the Anchorage airport. Asked by reporters if she might run for president, Palin said, "We'll see what happens then."

The Alaska governor said she hoped to work with president-elect Barack Obama on energy policy. She was returning to the state after spending Tuesday night in Phoenix, where she watched election returns with her Republican running mate, Arizona Sen. John McCain.

Please Gov give it up...Besides the already obvious interviews you've given showing you really shouldn't even be a Gov (granted in a state that voted for a 7 count crook) the more we learn the smarter we are especially compared to you...

I mean c'mon who in the 'four the letter word' doesn't know Africa is a Continent?
Who greets their staffers, handlers, in a towel?
How can you be gov of alaska and not know the NAFTA countries?

Do they not teach civics in Alaska....You need to give up on being an elected official and just stick to the 'low info' fundraising circuit....

Palin giving energy advice....LOL

Seeing the aurora bourealis from your bedroom window doesn't count as experience neither does plugging in a lamp.

Two days after "the great vicotry" and there are 600 plus posts on a loosing vp? She is so in your head. Really shows how truly shallow the left has become. The right has more class in loosing than the left in victory. The maturity of the posts match that of the MSNBC "reporters"

We left wingers have spelling skills as well as geography. It's "losing", not "loosing". I'll give you "vicotry" because it was an obvious transposition of the keys.

Hey, we're still not finished with the Bush family yet. Remember Jeb? Yeah, he says he's not interested now, but in reality he knows he needs to lay low for a while. I'm convinced that if George Bush could run for a third term, he would still get at least 40% of the vote. Be prepared for another Bush to resurface.

Oh, and let's not forget Neil!
Even though his family would like to...
He's running on the "Bail Out the Billionaires" ticket in 2010

Yes, please run another Bush, please. It would be great if you could bring back Palin as well, after all she is the new face of the Republican party. LOL

They should bust Stevens down to the equivalent of Freshman Senator for the Minority before they give Palin the opportunity of nominating herself as his replacement.

She could nominate Todd, but I don't think he can speak.

Did you read her interview with an Alaska radio station the other day?

"Todd's an Eskimo. My children are Eskimos."

Do they still use the word "Eskimo" in Alaska? Didn't "Inuit" replace Eskimo years ago?

Yeah, Obama really needs her advice on energy policy, or on anything else.

Can't wait to see how Romney, Giuliani and all the other jerks who pretended to like her treat her candidacy in the 2012 primaries. That WILL BE interesting.

Romney will be dealing with Hair issues and Guiliani will be getting sued for back payment on dental bills.

Left, left, left---you are observant. The mentality up here was the same, not what she might bring to the National ticket or the nation as a whole but what she could do for Alaska and only Alaska. Repubs up here love the welfare we receive from the tax payers in the lower 48--big bunch of hypocrits.

The spotlight she has shone on Alaska has only caused the people of the lower 48 to wonder why we're blowing so much tax money on that welfare state.

I sincerely hope that those of you that say that you would now not like to visit our beautiful state (Alaska) ,based on Palin's performance in the national spotlight, will reconsider. Visiting a land of such incredible natural beauty should be something that you do for yourself and for your soul and to let her ruin it for you is a terrible sacrifice. There are many wonderful people up here that wish to protect our environment so that we and our visitors can enjoy it for many years to come. Not everyone up here is a hatemongering Neo-con. Many of use just live our lives up here much as we would exist in any other state, except that we live amongst scenery that will take your breath away and change you forever once you are surrounded by it.

I've been to Alaska twice and appreciate the beauty of the landscape and the friendliness of the people we met.
Must voter about the sorts of people who vote for the Palins and Stevens of this world, though.

Palin sure did "shine a light on Alaska," and it wasn't a favorable one. Highest rates of rape and incest in the country, badly planned development that has ruined some of the pristine beauty (as in Wasilla), an organized movement to secede from the other 49 states (isn't that treasonous?), and unlike the rest of the 49 states, a socialist state where residents pay few taxes and get money back! Palin's Alaska truly comes off as a world apart from the rest of the United States.

Last night Charlie Rose had a two men on his show, and I tuned into too late to catch their names.

The guest who referred to himself as an editor is the person with whom I am slightly confused. I have seen him on talk shows in the past, maybe cable news. He made a statement that appeared to stop Charlie Rose's clock momentarily. In answer to the question: what do you think President-elect Barack Obama's greatest challange will be? this "editor" responded with "Sarah Palin!"

I would love to know what this man's name is and how an apparent educated person could seriously make such a statement.
