Leno

From an NBC press release:

In honor of the traditional observance of Veterans Day, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (Monday - Friday, 11:35 p.m. - 12:37 a.m. ET on NBC) welcomes U.S. Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) on Tuesday, November 11 -- marking the senator's first television appearance since the 2008 presidential election on November 4.

McCain appeared on Jay Leno's show in August -- and was asked about his inability to remember how many houses he owns.

He is probably their because Leno is the only late-night talk show that has a Republican friendly audience on network TV.

Of course McCain is better suited to Leno's show, they are friends and neighbors.

HAVEN'T YOU NOTICED THE PREVIOUS AND SICKENING 'KISS/KISS"
LENO INTERVIEWS WITH MCBUSH?

I am happy to watch McCain on Leno. He is better suited for that spot than the Whitehouse. Maybe he will answer the question about the silk boxer shorts purchased for the Wasilla Hillbillies, as his people call them.
I hope to see Chambliss sent to the outhouse. He and Liddy Dole deserve to sit side by side in the cr apper.

Its too soon. Retire from the limelight for a while to contemplate, before putting yourself in a position to reflect on the election - his dream is over, he should mull it for a while.

He has serious questions to answer about how he conducted the campaign, and he isn't ready to come to terms with it, or have use believe him sincere this soon afterward.

Any pressing questions from Leno will seem like he is kicking a guy when he's down, and any discussion that doesn't address his dishonorable campaign are just a disservice to the public - fluff.

Timing is everything. You forgot that during your campaign - don't come back till you've learned it.

Help me out here?....Did the Democrats win this election? Jesus, reading these blogs reinforces why Lions eat their young...why birth control should be taught in first grade and why the use of sterility after an IQ test to obtain a drivers license in some states should be considered...this blog is sadder than Jesse Jackson when he realized he was not in the front row at the throne of Obama for his acceptance speece as the new PDiddy of the White House.........

Yes, the Democrats won the election, but only in a metaphorical sense. Lions eat their young because the young taste good. Birth control should be taught in the first grade for the sake of developing good habits. Sterility should be used only if it is clean. The front row is always reserved for Bob Euker. P-Diddy is not the kind of dog we want at the White House. The dog must be hypoallergenic. Randy Jackson would be cool.

ILeno used to be funny--then he became another spot for republican crap

Since the results of the election are in, there is at least one less house for McCain to remember for this Leno appearance.

McCain lied to the American public and was willing to put the security of this country in jeopardy with the pick of Sarah Palin. That makes McCain a LIAR.

Who really can believe anything that comes out of his mouth ever again. He lied for 2 months saying Palin was the most qualified VP pick ever .... that was a lie AND HE KNEW IT WAS A LIE WHEN HE SAID IT.

McCain has ruined his own reputation ... he cannot be trusted; Lieberman cannot be trusted either.

2 words Damage Control. That said I actually don't wish the little pez head ill. He ran a shameful campaign and should do penance, but his concession speech was gracious and that is at least a start. He reminded me that he is not the most evil of political looneys that the G0P has to offer.

Just because John McCain lost doesn't mean that he is to be outcast.
He ran a crappy campaign in crappier times but this should be a time for healing and the fact that he is going on Leno instead of going into some hole somewhere shows a lot about the person.

When McCain's supporters started booing Obama during McCain's concession speech, he immediately squashed that kind of emotion. The same now must be true for the victors.

Totally. The process of "running for office" didn't suit him AT ALL but when he's sincere and gracious he's not a bad guy.

Your point is well made as I feel the same..

His concession speech was well done...
With all respect... his humors are FUNNY! and entertaining...

In fact, "I screwed up"... reason to Letterman was nothing but honest saying...
Let's give McCain an applaud for his concession speech and did not allow Palin to speak...

Great. John McCain has been relegated to being the next Don Rickles.

JSMcC knows about paybacks. Letterman will get his due; Leno may be the clearing bank for this transaction.
