Leno

From an NBC press release:

In honor of the traditional observance of Veterans Day, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (Monday - Friday, 11:35 p.m. - 12:37 a.m. ET on NBC) welcomes U.S. Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) on Tuesday, November 11 -- marking the senator's first television appearance since the 2008 presidential election on November 4.

McCain appeared on Jay Leno's show in August -- and was asked about his inability to remember how many houses he owns.

The only quandry is how a boy from Mass can be so-o-o-o unashamedly GOP - though somewhat explained by sophmoric Jaywalking display of admiration for ignorance.
Somebody please let him know that barely educated and refusal to improve are not admirable qualities anymore.

And quick as a Sarah-wink, McSame is back to trolling the late-night talk shows in an effort to prove HE was the real and true 'celebrity' all along. I'm sure his agent is working like mad to get him a cameo on '24' and/or a walk-on in 'Wedding Crashers 2' ASAP.

And now he can enjoy those swanky Georgetown coc.ktail parties he so loves to attend without having to bring the Wasilla snowbilly along as his date.

The Build Them Up, Tear Them Down, Build Them Back Up Again Celebrity Spin Cycle has thus reached its logical end.

Now what?

"snowbilly", I like that! We have to have some ammunition, just in case she rears her repug(nant) face out again.

How about:
"Wazilla" (like Godzilla)
Alaska's "First Dud"
"McPalin" to remind people of failed McC's campaign

Now maybe he can be a real maverick and help Obama get some real legislation passed - legislation that will help the middle class.

He turned his back on us.

The words "middle class" were deleted from the canned speech he carries around on his cassette recorder.

If he were a true maverick he would walk away from the party, become an independent (or better yet a democrat) and caucus with the rebel forces.

First of: I am so glad he didn't become President. However, despite all the ugliness of his campaign I felt a tinch of sorrow for him when he gave that concession speech and now that the Elections are done and over with, like Obama we need to treat John McCain with respect.

I have to disagree with you because of the nature of the campaign he ran. Towards the end of the campaign both the McCain and Palin rallies were getting violent in nature and racist in tone and those two did nothing to stop it. They created a platform for the racists and bigots of this country and for that reason alone I have no respect for Mc or the GOP anymore.

That would be FUN!

You've got to be kidding, he is a man who ran for the highest office in this country and 46million voted for him. What is it with this website that invites even those with marginal IQ's to think they have a right to insult honorable and accomplished people ? If I'm still up, I'll watch. And to respond to those that harshly criticize McCains campaign, I personally did not find McCains ads that troubling anymore so than Obama's. Both orchestrated some very misleading ad campaigns with marginal truths, all meant to manipulate. If anyones decision was based on political advertising for or against, you are too dumb to vote.

McCain's campaign put innocent people's lives in danger to win their campaign. The hatred and fear they played on caused people to plot assassination on Obama. That poor man Khaledi seems to be a model citizen, but they painted him as an anti-Semetic neo-nazi. No doubt he was getting death threats because of how McCain and Palin portrayed him.

When the intellectual leaders of the conservative movement - not to mention the dozens of former Reagan, Bush I and other senior REPUBLICAN officials come out and decry the tone of a campaign, when they question the competence of the person chosen for the #2 spot on the ticket...... SOMETHING IS WRONG But instead of listening and questioning the course they;re on the Republican core PURGES the 'disloyal traitors' from thier ranks......

The problem is that the Republican Party can no longer EVER admit when they're simply WRONG. They've turned into EVERYTHING they once decried in the Soviet Union. Party loyalty trumps the welfare of the Nation, EVERYTHING is a tool for holding onto power. The Department of Justice is subverted for political means, war is an economic tool, torture acceptable, the workers exploited to support the lifestyles of the Nomenklatura...........

That’s funny; I listened with wonder at the utter ignorance from representatives of the Republican Party. It’s not the Dems who don’t seem to know the facts. It’s not the Dems who are not intellectually curious. The Republicans have much to be ashamed of and I do not take pity on them.

John McCain did not exhibit honorable behavior at any time during this long campaign. He showed America what the worst of human conduct looks like. He will never get respect from me as he does not deserve it.

Thank goodness McCain did not bring his ignorant petulance into our White House.

"What is it with this website that invites even those with marginal IQ's to think they have a right to insult honorable and accomplished people?"

This is America. We have a "right to insult" whoever we want.

I had a lot of respect for McCain until about 6 months ago. Now I just see him as a lying SOS that sold his soul. Uh oh, please don't throw me in political prison for saying that.

The second most troubling aspect of the GOP's campaign was the apparent effort being made to reprise the deep divisions and prejudices of the 60's. If the campaign was more protracted, the entrance requirements for the Palin rallies may have devolved to pitchforks, torches and rope. Though there may be traces of this sentiment that persist in communities where ignorance and cultural xenophobia prevail, the GOP was ready to cash in onit and use it to ignite hatreds where only embers existed before.

This is why the party is fighting with itself. There was such an abundance of negativity consumed by its adherents when they drank that KoolAid, and found they couldn't cr*p on the Democrats who remained above the fray. So the thugs began to cr*p on themselves.

The 45 million who voted for him did so despite the campaign's most troubling aspect: John McCain's running partner. I seriously question their judgment and ask what reasons were enough to place America on a sacrificial altar, after the fiasco of the past years with nothing to show but two wars, an economic crisis, and a constitution trampled upon by the Bush government?

Somehwere in the mix, McCain sold his honor.

I thought his performance on SNL was wonderful and self -deprecating. The man has great comic timing.
I actually felt bad for him afterwards, because I admired his ability to make fun of himself.
Too bad. I hope Obama in his classy way finds an opportunity to get the best out of McCain.
Let's see if he'll oppose his party now.

Don't hold your breath. The man is a sociopath. He hasn't seen a beneficent day in the past 8 years. He sold his soul to get elected, and everyone knows it!!!!!!! He will not change now, as Bush and Cheney did not change EVER!!!!!!! Sociopaths are sociopaths. They have ingrained personality disorders involving a lack of conscience.
