Poll: 64 Percent Of Republicans Want Palin To Run In 2012

Rasmussen Reports, in a new poll published Friday, has some interesting data on how Republicans still have overwhelming positive feelings about Palin:

Ninety-one percent (91%) of Republicans have a favorable view of Palin, including 65% who say their view is Very Favorable. Only eight percent (8%) have an unfavorable view of her, including three percent (3%) Very Unfavorable.

When asked to choose among some of the GOP's top names for their choice for the party's 2012 presidential nominee, 64% say Palin. The next closest contenders are two former governors and unsuccessful challengers for the presidential nomination this year -- Mike Huckabee of Arkansas with 12% support and Mitt Romney of Massachusetts with 11%.

Three other sitting governors - Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Charlie Crist of Florida and Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota - all pull low single-digit support.

I am saddened yet not really surprised that there are so many Americans whom seem to have total tunnel vision when it comes this illiterate, hateful, and severely unqualified farce of a leader. Clamperken, my thoughts EXACTLY! I myself have used the word FARCE more times than I can count over the last few months... The majority of American people got it right this time, and that is certainly something to be celebrated (I am still, and will continue to be for the foreseeable future, overcome with joy!!!). But the question is, how long is this going to last? Are we going to continue to get it right, or will the forces of bigotry, racism, religious zealotry and backwardness of every stripe succeed at overtaking this country, again? I see Huckabee is already getting ready for 2012... And who knows what else do they have up their sleeves as we speak? I really do wish that Ms. I-Don't-Kn­ow-If-Afri­ca-Is-A-Co­ntinent-Or­-A-Country would just pick up her toys, make like a tree and LEAVE the national stage once and for all; I for one have had more of her than I can take! :)

The really frightening thing about Palin is how quickly she resorted to whipping the crowds into a frenzy utilizing the McCarthyistic tactics of guilt by association - and very flimsy association at that. The implications that Obama was un-American in his associations and the way he views America - the talk about parts of the country being 'pro-America' (as if there were parts that aren't) - simply reeked of McCarthyism. And, considering her and her husband's associations with the Alaska Independence Party, which wants to secede from America, her accusations take a lot of chutzpah. Interesting, though, that when she levels accusations it's part of the 'rough and tumble' political game; but when the same tactics are used on her, it's unfair and those folks are 'jerks' or sexist. If she can be so easily convinced to become the incarnation of Joe McCarthy in her first national political foray, I'd hate to see her have any national power. It's a shame she's in denial about dragging down McCain's campaign because it's nationally agreed by a majority and polls that she was the main deterrent to a McCain vote.

It's so very sad that some republicans feel Palin is worthy of running for President in 2012. As we age so does the memory, so by then she'll be even dumber. She needs to concentrate on just being the governor and hope the people want to keep her. Saying she wants to be an Ambassador to Africa and not knowing it's a continent and not a country is pitiful, and why would Africa want her as an Ambassador when she doesn't even pay attention to her own native population in Alaska? Do for your people first, because Africa does not need you.

She's pretty well-preserved for 44, goodness knows what sort of "help" she's had in addition to the tanning sessions. My money is on Botox, lipo, Restalyn, boob job, and lots of laser resurfacing.

She's at a tricky age. Her looks could fall apart in four years.

Then Bill Kristol would be done with her, he won't be telling Fox she is his "heartthrob" anymore.
