I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Sarah Palin

Rasmussen Reports, in a new poll published Friday, has some interesting data on how Republicans still have overwhelming positive feelings about Palin:

Ninety-one percent (91%) of Republicans have a favorable view of Palin, including 65% who say their view is Very Favorable. Only eight percent (8%) have an unfavorable view of her, including three percent (3%) Very Unfavorable.

When asked to choose among some of the GOP's top names for their choice for the party's 2012 presidential nominee, 64% say Palin. The next closest contenders are two former governors and unsuccessful challengers for the presidential nomination this year -- Mike Huckabee of Arkansas with 12% support and Mitt Romney of Massachusetts with 11%.

Three other sitting governors - Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Charlie Crist of Florida and Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota - all pull low single-digit support.

Why is it the Republicans don't realize they lost the election because they chose a candidate that can't intellectualize herself out of a paper bag? Shhh, don't tell them.

Don't misunderestimate her. She may lack intellectual curiosity and judgment, but has frighteningly good populist political skills. I still feel she brings out the worst in the American voter, but there are a lot of American voters who are susceptible to her rhetoric and wink. Democrats don't benefit from writing her off or laughing at her (leave that to the late night hosts).

Agreed. She and the Republicans will spend the next fours listing every mistake Obama makes, if there any. It won't matter if he fumbles because they will spin any ailing segment of the country to be his fault without regard to the pile of sh$t he was handed. No administration should be expected to fix what GBush did, but Obama will get all of the blame. So, no matter who they pick to run in 2012, that is what we have to look forward to.

I don't underestimate her because !.she has a pretty face and 2. a good portion of the US population are republican idiots. But the reqality is, she is comparatively dumb and ambition plus some social skills does not qualify anyone to be in high political office, let alone president of the United States.

I have a solution: All those who want Sarah Palin to govern them, please why don't you just move to Wasilla and enjoy her as govenor? It would be a win win for all of us. Please, take that bridge to nowhere.......

Excellent. Then Alaska could secede and the U.S. would be richer for it. No longer would we pay Alsaka $1.82 for every $1.00 they pay in federal income tax. As far as their natural resources, they keep those goodies for themselves anyway, so why exactly must we subsidize them as the #1 pork state?

For a moment there I thought the election signaled a new direction for this country.

Paul Begala had a good quip on Bill Maher's show Friday. He said, " 64% of republicans want Sarah Palin to run in 2012, 100% of democrats want her to run too."

Funny.

Gotta stay clear of the hubris, because if she runs, it is possible she could win.

So true. But remember, misplaced hubris bound to inaction, corruption, and an inability to govern, competently, is foolish. And after the last 7+ Bush years, that is the situation. If Obama assembles a team of best and brightest in their areas for leadership, and people work hard to not be distracted by 'entertainers' masquerading as speaking for American's best interests, then the hubris used to flaunt accomplishments that helped the people will make sense.

Was this a survey of registered Republicans or those who voted on Tuesday? If the latter, then the survey was of the diehard McCain folks and the lunatic fringe. The thoughtful Repubs, like Powell, Parker, Will, and the rest were not part of that group.

Sounds good to me, dumb people adhering to her jingoistic saber rattling and her fanatical incontrovertible religious beliefs on abortion and Intelligent Design over Evolution. Lets hope, nay lets pray that she is their nominee in 2012.

Good, if that's the best they can do, let them go for it. She'll lose again.
For now, we have intelligence, science, and heart back in the White House. I believe that Barck will get re-electd anyway.

Unless the GOP thinks Bill Ayers and Rev. Wright will be hot issues for them again in 2012, The appeal of Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber may fall short. But, go ahead, make our day!

64% of the Republicans might want to consider the possibility that Sarah Palin may be facing purgeory charges before the next election....

In her sworn testimony to Petumenos, Palin said she didn't know that Todd had been talking to Monegan about Wooten in early 2007. She testified that she told her husband early in her administration to stop talking to her about Wooten because she was sick of hearing about him.

In an e-mail she sent to Monegan on Feb. 7, 2007, she says: " ... I know Todd's even expressed to you a lot of concern about our family's safety after this trooper threatened to kill a family member."
