I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Sarah Palin

Rasmussen Reports, in a new poll published Friday, has some interesting data on how Republicans still have overwhelming positive feelings about Palin:

Ninety-one percent (91%) of Republicans have a favorable view of Palin, including 65% who say their view is Very Favorable. Only eight percent (8%) have an unfavorable view of her, including three percent (3%) Very Unfavorable.

When asked to choose among some of the GOP's top names for their choice for the party's 2012 presidential nominee, 64% say Palin. The next closest contenders are two former governors and unsuccessful challengers for the presidential nomination this year -- Mike Huckabee of Arkansas with 12% support and Mitt Romney of Massachusetts with 11%.

Three other sitting governors - Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Charlie Crist of Florida and Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota - all pull low single-digit support.

I'm so delighted that they picked Palin this time. I'm not sure we could have won this thing without her. Now that the Republicans have seemed to have entered into a suicide pact with themselves, I think it only fitting that they pick Palin to run again.

Second sentence... I agree completely. Popsicle Palin was the best player on our team for helping with the win.

In four years her looks will fade and her makeup will grow.

the ignorant self defeating GOP will turn to some other weakly qualified divisive mean spirited candidate that blames all their problems on te=rro=rist liberals and promises to take the country backwards to the 1950's good ole days.

So basically the Reds are saying to Barack something along the lines of "Take your shoes off and put your feet up, make yourself at home! You're gonna be here for a while."

Though I question if the GOP party as it currently stands will even exist in 2012. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next four years but if Obama's presidency goes reasonably well, I could see the GOP splitting in to two parties, one comprised of the "Goldwater conservatives" and the other made up of the much more right-leaning religious zealots who have helped drive the party to the precipice it currently finds itself in.

I wonder who these 'Republicans' actually are that got polled? They must be talking about the base ie religious right, not the millions of Reps who switched to vote Dem because they couldn't stand her.

As someone else posted earlier, 64% of 25% (of the electorate) = approx 19% support.

Given that Polarising Palin engenders the extreme opposite reaction in the rest of the electorate, that's a pretty low approval rating for any potential candidate to enter a race with.

Sixty-four percent of Republicans polled want Palin to run in 2012? Sixty-four percent of Republicans polled fail a basic IQ test.
I was hoping there would be no sequels re-runs to `Gidget Goes to Washington.'

How can we POSSIBLY allow these people to vote? Shouldn't we have to have SOME sort of a voting requirement like.... NOT INSANE?

This is not only sad, but scary.

That 64% of republicans still have favorable feelings for Sarah Palin and want her to run in 2012 is a VERY troubling fact of life in this very troubled republican party. I cannot understand that they do not see her obvious incompetence in running for the second highest office in the land. Are they deaf, dumb, and blind? Did they not see the many gaffs and lack of knowledge moments she presented on the national stage? How does this high of an unknowing part of our population affect the progress of our country? Can we go forward with such blindness in almost 2/3 of half the country? And this is only one example of their errors. That 46% voted for McCain who ran one of the most vile campaigns in recent history is also very troubling N2Sman

Sarah Palin would be a disaster for President..

She appeals to the extreme....

That is why the Republican party has finally imploded.

It is all about "Show" with Sarah lacking debt in wisdom and international relations

Lets hope this is the end for Palin on the National Political circuit.

Count me in..make that 65%. There's nothing I'd like more than to see Moosey run against the incumbent Pres. Obama. In fact , I might cross party lines in the primary to ensure that she gets the nomination. WHAT A JOKE!

Now they want Bush in a dress. He'll do better that way they say.

The GOP is in for some serious infighting.
