Poll: 64 Percent Of Republicans Want Palin To Run In 2012

Rasmussen Reports, in a new poll published Friday, has some interesting data on how Republicans still have overwhelming positive feelings about Palin:

Ninety-one percent (91%) of Republicans have a favorable view of Palin, including 65% who say their view is Very Favorable. Only eight percent (8%) have an unfavorable view of her, including three percent (3%) Very Unfavorable.

When asked to choose among some of the GOP's top names for their choice for the party's 2012 presidential nominee, 64% say Palin. The next closest contenders are two former governors and unsuccessful challengers for the presidential nomination this year -- Mike Huckabee of Arkansas with 12% support and Mitt Romney of Massachusetts with 11%.

Three other sitting governors - Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Charlie Crist of Florida and Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota - all pull low single-digit support.

What the just completed campaign showed the world is just how unprepared Sarah Palin is for the larger stage. She is so hopelessly unprepared that four more years can't overcome that massive deficit in knowledge. Given those grim facts the Republicans by a large margin still what her to run in 2012? Now what kind of death wish is that?

That number is so high because the elections are just over. I am sure as time goes by, and Republicans make a true assessment of what went wrong in '08, these numbers will fall, and they will express preference for someone else, some one who is actually qualified.

I find it telling that McCain is not personally coming out to refute the allegations of gross ignorance on the part of Sarh Palin.

I'm sincerely hoping that there are actual debate prep tapes which show the level of ignorance of Srah Palin on the world and the issues. Without hard proof of what she didn't know, the right wing of the party will simply not believe any of the stuff coming out now about her. In addition, the press will just be labeled as biased against her. WE NEED SOLID IRREFUTABLE PROOF! Without that......­.we will likely be seeing Palin running for another office.

Please, please, please run Palin in 2012. She has more chance of winding up in prison for her lake house than of getting to the White House. What's wrong with the lake house you say?? After Todd told reporrters "me and my contractor buddies built the house" it turns out: the contractors were the same contrctors who built the $15,000,00­0.00 hockey rink just down the street from Todd & Sarah's place. There were no building permits pulled on the house. There are no receipts for labor& materials showing what was paid for the house.

Oh, and did I mention some of the contractors were the same ones who worked on Ted Stevens house? The house that's going to send Ted to prison for 7 felony convictions.
