New York Times:

Time Inc., the publishing company, named a new top editor of Money magazine on Friday, just as the company was about to downsize its magazine staffs to keep pace with flagging financial performance.

Craig Matters, one of the highest-ranking editors at Fortune, another Time Inc. magazine, will take over at Money, with the title managing editor. He will succeed Eric Schurenberg, whose departure the company acknowledged on Thursday, near the end of this month.
