Palin

Via The New Republic, another anecdote from Newsweek on Sarah Palin:

The day of the third debate, Palin refused to go onstage with New Hampshire GOP Sen. John Sununu and Jeb Bradley, a New Hampshire congressman running for the Senate, because they were pro-choice and because Bradley opposed drilling in Alaska. The McCain campaign ordered her onstage at the next campaign stop, but she refused to acknowledge the two Republican candidates standing behind her.

While Bradley is reported to be pro-choice, Sununu is not, at least publicly. It's not clear from the Newsweek article whether the misconception was Palin's or that of her aides.

Poor Todd, the boy toy who stood by looking like a choir boy as Palin bought him some high dollar silk boxers and a couple of boytoy toys. Poor guy....reckon he had to return his boxers, too?

Isn't she currently the choice of like 65% of Republicans for their presidential candidate in 2012?

I really hope they run her for president in every election. I wish they could run her in every election, whatever the office.

The nutbag Evangelicals are the only ones who want her, and they can have her!

So, in her zealotry, she help cost downticket repubs their shot at being elected, as well? Good on her, she's the Democratic Parties best weapon against Republicans. :)

This is part of the Righteous Stand that the evan. gelical right will always adhere to. It is rigid, self-satisfied, judgmental, and spiritually and socially arrogant. We need to keep our antennae out for candidates like this. The Repub "base," such as it is, likes them righteous -- and if mega churches keep growing like they have been, their numbers will be mined every election.

It is important to remember: In these houses of worship, folks are "counseled" how to vote. It may be skirting the law, but this last election, at retreats and workshops, the message was out. These were your Palin fans. Know your enemy.

These people are not Christian. Just like the moneychangers, Jesus would kick them out of the temple!

This woman should not be given any power whatsoever to make any decision. She doesnt know how to agree to disagree, has antiquated ideas, and is not for a woman's freedom of choice. Let her stay in Alaska and hope that we never see her again.

I'm not a Palin fan but given her strong prolife stand I think it was very courageous of her not to want to go on stage with them.

Oh, I pray the GOP is stupid enough to anoint her empress. She is a vicious, vengeful she-wolf that will destroy the party. You go girl!

Sara Palin is a person of unwavering high principles! A Joan of Arc! A dinosaur in today's world. I for one, solute her! I, being a Democrat and voted for Obama, can see how the far right and the religious base of the Republican Party is drawn to her candidacy!

I was thinking this morning how they've all but crowned her QOTGOP based on nothingmore than she draws a crowd like fly on dung. Nothing else, that's it. They (those who voted for McCain) were perfectly willing to place her in the position of head of the free world should something happen to McCain simply because she filled a barn or two.

What is the matter with that part of America that was so willing to jeopordize pretty much everything Bush already has EVEN MORE by voting for Palin? It's frightning.

And this is how she would treat the rest of the world if she were re-elected to any public office; if you don't agree with her views, you are basically ignored and left behind. HOW IMMATURE AND PETTY.

We don't need this type of behavior in public office. This is a world where we need to get along. This planet we all call home needs some TLC, not abuse. The GOP has abused this planet and it's people long enough. All the way from countries we have invaded and terrorized because we don't agree with their views (and the fact that they don't just hand over their natural resources to the bully US) and pronounced "war" on, to taking away our basic liberties of freedom here in the US by passing the insane Patriot Act and other laws of insanity that demean Americans.

Change has come.
