Chris Matthews Hypes Matt Lauer's Palin Interview: "They've Got A Limited Budget At The 'Today' Show These Days, And They're Spending On Her"

I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Chris Matthews discussed Sarah Palin's political future with The Week columnist Margaret Carlson and former Palin aide Larry Persily on "Hardball" Monday. After Carlson mentioned that "Today" show co-host (and one-time divorcee) Matt Lauer will be interviewing Palin Tuesday, Matthews saw the opportunity to mention...NBC budgeting?

"Yeah, well, you know that phrase — where is Matt Lauer? Where in the world is Matt Lauer? He's with Governor Palin up in Alaska! And they've got a limited budget at the 'Today' show these days, and they're spending on her. That tells you something."

Matthews is exactly right. The media creates know-nothings like Sarah Palin and Not Joe Not a Plumber. It misdirects the American people by giving such nonentities coverage. She really is nothing as are her celebrity supporters -- Hannity, Limbaugh, Savage, etc. Go Chris. It's time for Matt Lauer to go on another "Where in the World is Matt Lauer?" trip, and it shouldn't be to Alaska, or at least not to interview Know-Nothing Palin. She's too busy researching which dinosaurs her modern man ancestors palled around with 4,000 years agon as part of her drive to maintain the know-nothing base for her 2012 Presidential run.

Chris, Chris, Chris! You are starting to scare me. Just don't bring that "lady" on your show, please.
I don't care if she is beautiful and absurdly fascinating!
I don't care if she has a way with a gun and looks great in red high heels!
I don't care if she dresses Todd up in designed silk underware and slings a mean hash skillet!

Please stop giving coverage to this person. Get re focuses and give time to some substantive people to talk about health care, economic policy, what to do about the AIG fiasco and failing auto companies. What are the pros and cons of Canada and UK"s health care systems? How did Sweden solve their credit debacle so successfully? What did Japan do right or wrong in dealing with their real estate bubble that we can learn from? Would it be right to fund the electric car start-ups and let the big auto makers go down the tube?

There are plenty of fascinating subjects out there that we need to know about to part the waters leading out of this 8 years of Egyptian slavery. Sarah Palin's latest antics, her malaprops and missteps and ambitions are not important anymore.

Chris Matthews' guest, there, is sayin' Palin has a future, maybe not in politics, but elsewhere.

So I say the more interviews the better .. .will help to narrow down the possibilities, or, I mean to say, show her what doors are open to use her journalism degree. Hopefully someone will offer a job she can't refuse.

Hopefully a foreign correspondence post to, let's say, Russian, bein' so close to home there. Or maybe the country or continent of Africa to continue her education. . Or perhaps a journalistic post to the foreign country of Alaska, after it secedes or simply implodes from a migraine.

But it's got to be all about jobs, dontcha know there.

I love when Chris laughs or when he gets an idea. His face lights up and he can't wait to spit it out!

I like Chris Matthews, he is passionate about his field, BUT, there is one thing he does CONSTANTLY that drives me NUTS. He asks a question and then consistently INTERRUPTS the person who is trying to answer the question. Chris ALWAYS has to interject his ANSWER or COMMENT to the question he just asked. This is VERY RUDE!!!

He's a no-nonsense guy! I love him.

The more attention the media pay to this monkey-punchline, the longer she'll hang around. Please stop.

She is a tragic mistake, a cynical dying gasp from the rotting corpse of the Republican party.

Let's all wave goodbye as she floats away, back to the North Country that spewed her onto the "lower 48."

Perhaps a song? (Sung to the tune of "Bye Bye Blackbird" - come on now, with FEELING!)

Juneau's lookin' mighty good
As it should
That's your hood
Bye-bye, Sarah

Africa is far away
So just stay
In AK
Bye-bye, Sarah!

There are many books up there for bannin'
And lots of firings that must need a- plannin'
Take your kids and move along
With a song
Don't take long
Sarah, bye-bye!

Also, also, also, there, there, allllllso
Also, also, there, there, also, allllllso

Put those clothes on Ebay, dear
Don't shed a tear
Have no fear
Bye-bye Sarah!

Keep an eye on Putin's plane
As you explained
He's such a pain
Bye-bye Sarah!

Your shotgun's needin' loadin' soon
For the bride
And the groom
Bye-bye Sarah

No one here can love or understand you,
Oh, what funny stories told about you,
You made your bed and lit the light,
You'll be home late tonight,
Sarah bye-bye.

(big finish)

SARAH BYE BYE!
