Eric Bolling To Be Named Co-Host Of Fox Business Network's "Happy Hour"

Fox Business Network Contributor Eric Bolling will join the afternoon show "Happy Hour" as a co-host, the Huffington Post has learned. The network is expected to announce the addition later today.

Bolling will join current "Happy Hour" co-hosts Cody Willard and Rebecca Diamond in hosting the 5PM Eastern show. Bolling joined FBN in March 2008, providing daily commentary across the FBN programs including "Money for Breakfast," "America's Nightly Scoreboard" and "Happy Hour." Prior to this, Bolling served as a CNBC contributor where he was a panelist on "Fast Money."

To take any of these business cable channels seriously is to lose money. There are a few worth listening to and I don't mean Kudlow. Seemingly, and for the most part they only iterate WSJ and Republican economic talking points. It is almost as if the last 8 years have proven nothing to them about the free market and unregulated capitalism. Already, many are trying to tell the new administration what not to do. It is incredible. Why I listen is to try and get an overall concept of where the market may be heading and not what stock is a good or value buy at this time. I much rather read Financial Sense.com,IBD for intelligent business commentary. I know there are others but what I am saying is that the cable channels are about bloviating. And yes, if there is a choice to be made FBN has nothing compared to Bloomberg and CNBC.

Very few people take FBN very seriously because it fails to really provide much diversity in point of view. Although, they are currently benefiting from CNBC doing an absolutely horrific job at providing any coherent points of view at all.

Bolling was interesting on Fast Money. He sold out for, I think, more money and larger profile on Fox. By himself on Fox he is a walking republican economics talking point billboard. Nothing to say. I use to like his comments on Fast Money re energy but now he is irrelevent.
