Joe

Whoops!

"Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough let the f-word slip at 8:13 EST Monday morning, talking about Rahm Emanuel's rumored-dirty mouth. Unaware at first he had said "fuck" instead of "f-word," Scarborough was soon set straight and spent much longer apologizing for the swear word.

Watch as he comes to realize he slipped up, begins to fear his wife's reaction, and starts apologizing. "Did I say the word?... My wife is going to kill me when I get home... I'm going to go get some soap."

Also enjoy the look on Mike Barnicle's face when he realizes what Joe said.

It wasn't like he was trying to say "funk" or something similar and slipped. He just came out with it in the context of the sentence, didn't know it and didn't believe he said it!!

Did he have a brain cramp, or is it a word he uses fluently in his daily conversations?

I enjoy the variety of guests the show offers, Joe is an arrogant man. I now DVR the show so I can
fast forward when Joe is ranting about something. Mornings with Mike (Barnicle) and Mika would
be a much better show.

Agreed! Joe's opinion is inconsistent, he argues for the sake of arguing and he is rude to his very interesting guests and co-hosts (I have no idea why they put up with it). Willy can stick around, too!

Mika does great when that loudmouth Joe is GONE. I like her and Mke and Willy ... just keep them and get rid of Joe!

What's the difference between this and Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction"?

I'd say the difference would probably be the nipple. Perhaps because it was choreographed, maybe because it was during the halftime of the biggest TV event of the year. Could be because of the number of kids that the Super Bowl would draw.
Don't know: maybe a slip of the tongue is as bad. But, being a parent, my vote goes to the nipple.

As a parent of three, I totally Disagree

THERE WAS NO NIPPLE . . .
It was a nipple ring - a pasty, an ornament.
Lil Kim wore the exact type of thing to the Grammys 10 months earlier
The right would have you believe differently.

And as a parent, do you feel your children are more likey to go around exposing themselves - or using the same foul language as the "news man"?

Where is all the outrage? Where are the right wing religeous zealots that chastised CBS for the Janet Jackson extravaganza?

And where are all the righties who were outraged when Jane Fonda said the C-word on the Today Show.

I agree, Mika is terrible. Her sole job is to sit there and cluck disapprovingly at anything anyone says, particularly if they disagree with the holy and sainted Joe. She nearly went into convulsions when he dropped the F-bomb, and then tried to cover it up...

Joe: "Did I really use the word, and not the letter?"
Mika: "Well, you *ALMOST* did...."

There was nothing "almost" about it, sister.

Shortly before the election, Joe bragged about his ratings. In the next breath, he accused Sen. Obama of being arrogant. Morning Show's success totally rode the coattails of election fever. Now, Joe's realizing such is the case, and dropping that silly little "f bomb" is his way of trying to stir up some interest in order to garner better ratings. Nice flash-in-the-pan try, but lame.

Joe The Aggrogant,

thats the problem not accidentally swearing. If that was Keith,Chris or Rachel Joe would be taking them to task. His aggrogance is the issue, not his flawed stand on the issues.

Joe S isn't that bad....Mika, on the other hand, is terrible. She's constantly interrupting or muttering under her breath when other people are speaking. Really annoying and passive aggressive.

This is what offends us. Not torture, illegal wiretapping, war under false pretenses, or looting the U.S. taxpayers to give money to corrupt Wall Street bankers. Saying an explative slang word on television is what we need to get all worked up about, sure...

Look - I am a Liberal but I absolutely do not want MSNBC to turn into the antithesis of FOX where dissent is stifled and not tolerated. Scarborough is a well-informed, intelligent guy who happens to be a Republican. His views have mellowed over the years he has been with NBC and he would be the first to admit it. I have all the time in the world for Scarborough and Buchanan, I might not always agree with them (sometimes I do), but their opinions are born of intellect and reason and not thoughtless dogma. Anyone who would banish dissent from MSNBC, just isn't engaging their intellect.

Joe slipped up. So what? If that's all you took away from that discussion then you would probably do better watching the cartoon network.

"Scarborough is a well-informed, intelligent guy who happens to be a Republican."

Agreed. Now lets move on to the fact that he sucks as a news television host. He didn't even no well enough to segway out of his mistake and stop drawing attention to it. Scarborough is a prime example of what you get when you offer a job to someone that they are not qualified to take. Of course lately that has seemed to be the norm. However, when the chips fall down you might want someone there that can handle the job.

Agreed...with your comments regarding Pat Buchanan I mean. As for Joe he is arrogant and condescending, which can be overlooked.

But his constant interruption and lack of respect he shows some of his guest, especially woman, to me is unacceptable.

So I stopped watching. I do miss the forum, but not Joe.

I wish they'd bring Don Imus back before he dies. His interviews and discussions with guests were much more interesting, informed and intelligent than Joe's.

Why are we so offended by words? Wow our society needs to grow up. Anyone ever been to Europe and watch some of their TV? Our censorship is right up there with the Arab countries.
