Matt Lauer's Divorce Laughed About On "Today" Show (VIDEO)

Matt Lauer's marital history sent the "Today" show host and his co-host Meredith Vieira into a fit of laughter Monday morning.

Intro-ing a segment on the "right age to get married," Vieira said, "I got married in my 30s, when did you get married?"

Lauer — who married TV producer Nancy Alspaugh when in his mid-20s, only to get divorced seven years later — stuttered, fumbled, and then laughed, as an embarrassed Vieira burst into laughter and producers shouted, "Nice!"

Lauer's marriage to Annette Roque, the Dutch model, has also been peppered with problems. The pair separated in 2006 and subsequently reconciled.

Meredith is so in over her head on this show, she's constantly talked over by her interviewees or she stumbles over them when they're trying to comment. She interjects humor when the tone should be sober; and she basically just tries way too hard to fit in, it seems. She's like the homely girl that gets onto the cheerleading squad by default when someone gets hurt. She is extremely hard to watch and the principal reason why I switched to watching GMA.

Katie was perfect, but got the swelled head and left. Ann should have gotten as her rapport with Matt is warmer and more genuine.

Imzadi, I'm with you on Ann Curry. She's what I call a "tabloid reporter." She lowers her voice dramatically and looks intently at the interviewee as if saying, "I feel your pain," but you just know she isn't feeling any emotion but elation over the ratings she might get for making someone break down. I always go by the theory that the more emoting the reporter does, the less they really care.

These lame news programs where everybody is clowning and so folksy cutesy are nauseating. then after the commercial onto more serious heart felt news of great importance. unwatchable.

I know exactly what you mean. One of those trademark American things where in one breath they are guffawing with laughter about something silly and the next breath they are all serious, talking about some disaster. I remember one local anchor forgot that she had moved onto the next story(some tragedy) and kept a gleeful smile throughout.

Awe come on supergranny. A little levity never hurt anybody. Actually she was so cute. She let out the s...word and was embarrassed by that, you could see her genuinely blushing. Took twenty years off her to just be herself. From 9-21 she looked like a five year old. Hilarious. Oh! and you? Too serious. Much too serious.

Oh for God's sake people, just turn the tv off. I love Meredith, and Matt, although if he is interviewing Palin tomorrow, I'll probably switch to Harry Smith. (yeah, I'm that fickle....­but I do know how to use the remote, and take full advantage of it)
