Obama Transition Team Courts Clinton Aide Doyle

NEW YORK — Democratic officials say President-elect Obama's transition aides have approached Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's former campaign manager about taking a senior White House post.

These officials say Patti Solis Doyle is considering taking the job, although she worries about the effect it would have on her two young children. She was contacted about possibly becoming Cabinet secretary, a job that involves coordinating the efforts of the White House and cabinet-level agencies.

The officials who described the developments did so on condition of anonymity, saying they were not authorized to disclose them.

Doyle has worked for Clinton in a number of capacities, first in the White House and most recently when she made her bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.

patty solis doyle WAS one of hillary's managers during the early stages of the primaries until she was ousted by penn & company. at some point later in the campaign, the obama camp asked her to join his team and she did, behind the scenes. if she had stayed on with hillary's camp and had been allowed to actually help, who knows, hillary may be the president elect today.

she is a bright, ably qualified woman for any white house position. smart but humble.

i would say, folks, give her credit. she can do the job.

Smart pick! Patti Solis Doyle earned this position through hard work and dedication. She's smart and she will excel in this position. Granted she was fired from the Clinton campaign, however, she wasn't the problem, the problem was Mark Penn. Rahm Emanuel as Chief of Staff; Clinton Cabinet members in his cabinet; Clinton Cabinet members as advisors; what could be more obvious that Obama is really a Centrist that used the Left Wing Liberals like Reid, Pelosi, and Dean to get the nomination.
The DNC plan to destroy the Clintons and DLC have obviously failed and maybe we will have effective government after all. No more only Corporate Welfare or only Social Welfare, but General Welfare for everyone as we had in the 90s under the Clinton Administration.

didnt hear a peep about her, or from her, in the general. She left the Hillary campaign on bad terms, and no one considered her a success in that role. We have heard A LOT about how cute she is on this comment board everytime her name is mentioned, but that doesnt qualify her for anything, and she's not that great anyway.

I think it would be stupid for the Obama team to hire this woman. Solis Doyle was fired from the Clinton campaign because of internal strife with other Clinton campaign staff, who are now working with Obama transition team. And I also believe she is accused of manhandling public relations, organization and campaign funds. Hillary Clinton's lost in Iowa was partly blamed on her.
