I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Sarah Palin sat down with Fox News' Greta van Susteren to discuss the 2008 campaign and her political future. The wide-ranging interview covered such familiar topics as the $150,000 spent on Palin's wardrobe for the campaign, as well as the report that she was unable to name all the countries in North America and did not understand that Africa is a continent rather than a nation. Palin denied any knowledge of the RNC's extravagant clothing bills, going so far as to say that she's never set foot in a Neiman Marcus (one of the upscale stores where the RNC racked up a $75,000 bill). Palin also denied the report that she was unaware Africa is a continent.

The governor also lashed out at bloggers "sitting in their parents' basement, wearing their pajamas" for some of the questions that were raised about her record and credibility. She was particularly incensed at the questions that were floated about whether or not she was the mother of her youngest son, Trig.

Palin refused to say whether she was planning a run for the White House in 2012, but the devoutly faithful governor said she would wait for a sign from God, and that she is confident God would show the way to the White House.

Faith is a very big part of my life. And putting my life in my creator's hands - this is what I always do. I'm like, OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere, this is what I always pray, I'm like, don't let me miss the open door. Show me where the open door is. Even if it's cracked up a little bit, maybe I'll plow right on through that and maybe prematurely plow through it, but don't let me miss an open door. And if there is an open door in (20)12 or four years later, and if it is something that is going to be good for my family, for my state, for my nation, an opportunity for me, then I'll plow through that door.

Watch excerpts from the interview below.

"Harry Potter wasn't even written when I was mayor" This is what Sarah Palin states towards the end of the first video.

"Palin was a member of the Wasilla, Alaska city council from 1992 to 1996 and the city's mayor from 1996 to 2002." says Wikipedia.

"Since the 1997 release of the first novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which was retitled Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the United States, the books have gained immense popularity, critical acclaim and commercial success worldwide." says Wikipedia.

Somebody's lyin'. Big time.

Also, she claims the media could and should have squashed the rumor that asserted that she was not Trig's mom. Absent a blood test or a release of her medical records, how could the media have done that? She, Sarah Palin, could and should have squashed that rumor by taking some proactive steps to supply the needed information. It would have been wrong to force her to do so. However, it would have been right for her to voluntarily provide the proof. To date, nothing that she has put forth has done anything to disprove that particular rumor.

What is wrong with you?

I claim that you are a child molester, and until you provide me with proof otherwise, i will have to believe you are.

See how this works?

if sarah palin was really a follower of christ she wouldn't have told all those lies about president obama and incited all that hate and she certainly wouldn't have been on fox news with the likes of shaun hannity and those other morons on fox news excluding SHEPARD SMITH.

Sarah,

This is God. I'm typing slowly because I know you can't read very fast. I want you to understand in no uncertain terms that I have not left any doors to the White House open for you. In fact, the only door I have left open for you is the door to the confessional. The only thing I want you to "plow through" is some books on economics and foreign affairs.

Your Creator

P.S. I want you to get that Bible back out, too. Do what I ask....and read up on liars in Proverbs

Proverbs
6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
6:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
6:18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
6:19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

I really don't want to be seen as mocking faith. I don't. I know true faith, I have seen people walk through horrible situations defended only by their faith. But the notion that God is all about showing her every "open door" (which apparently includes any closed door that looks weak enough to break through - which would normally be a crime) is part of a very disturbing trend with Palin. She said she felt God's will would be done in this election, yet I've seen no statement indicating Obama's victory was therefore in keeping with God's will. To the contrary, it was about Bush, and GOP "blunders" and other purely secular excuses (I guess God had nothing to do with Bush's behavior, which seems odd since he's convinced God called him to serve as President). She indicated that God had a plan for Alaska, but then intimated that everyone else had to be made to see it was His will to pass a piece of legislation. Again, any opposition could not be in line with God. In both cases the clear intimation is that she either knows God's will or only accepts occurrences as God's will when they are in keeping with her own views of what is proper. This is not faith, but using God as a convenient prop. What's worse, it suggests she will continue to see the hand of God as having a direct one to one correlation to her own goals.

Apparently, with her sort, it's only a true sign of God's will if it comes out the way you want it.

Sometimes, people who can't quite manage to deceive a person of normal intelligence seem to have no problem completely bamboozling themselves.

Is that the same god that told Bush to run for president? We all know that didn't turn out so great. Sara, stay in Alaska and peddle moose stew. The red staters will eat it up.

You know what's weird? Palin does this thing when she's uncomfortable -- her voice changes. And when she's saying things that contradict facts we know to be true, her voice gets smaller and tighter and she clips her words, like a little girl being questioned about the cookies she says she didn't take when she's trying to swallow the cookies while she says she never saw them. Not always, because she can double-talk with the best when she finds a way to spin the "true" details so that she's not *technically* lying. But when she's flat out saying things that aren't true, things she knows are completely false, you can tell she's guilty by her voice, because then her lies don't come out smoothly, they try choke her.

busy, busy, busy recrafting her image. very busy. she seems to have an awful lot of time on her hands for a governor. don't let that one out of our sight or we'll be very, very sorry. she spins a delightful yarn about herself. what did her former opponent say? she's master of the glittering generality. and many will fall for it.

Well, its very much in line with FOX style.
A bit questoin on what Mrs Palin said that when she was Wasilla city mayor, Harry Potter books weren't even writen, well, in fact, Palin was Wasilla mayor from 1996 to 2002, and the first Harry Potter novel the first novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, or Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the United States, was published in 1997.

hum, I'm not saying the claim was right, but a bit of fact check shows she was wrong.

Yet another fact check that a savvy 4th grader could have performed, along with NAFTA, Africa (another incoherent explanation of Darfur and dictators n' things today)... I wonder if McCain showed her how to use Google...

Palin very clearly stated that she expected to win the 2008 election, because God would make sure she did. I want to hear her address these comments. Will she say that God wanted Obama to win?

I don't care about her clothes. I do care that she looked like an idiot when she was interviewed. I do care that she simply ignored questions that she didn't want to answer during the debate. And I do care that she presumed to know what God's preference was. THIS is the type of certainty that got the US into trouble for the last 4 years, the belief that God will take care of things, so whatever you're thinking right now must be right.

Sarah, if you are looking for a message from God concerning your suitability for the White House, I believe it was delivered last week.

If this woman is so devout, then why such a dirty campaign? She told many lies and incited people to hate Obama. Also, why only 2% or less in charitable contributions as shown on her tax returns? Much of that giving was clothes donations to the Salvation Army or Goodwill. I've always been taught that giving is a spiritual decision not a financial decision. Give me a break.

Really...what the hell was that? After reading that quote again and again, I still found it hard to decipher. Something about a door I think. But this is a perfect example of why the media people focus on her. Her statements and explanations are so contorted that they actually make bush seem articulate.

Maybe God will also show her how to be a decent human being.

Oh, she also told Dobson that God was going to make sure she and McCain won - oops.

Guess God went for Obama/ Biden, too.
