I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Sarah Palin sat down with Fox News' Greta van Susteren to discuss the 2008 campaign and her political future. The wide-ranging interview covered such familiar topics as the $150,000 spent on Palin's wardrobe for the campaign, as well as the report that she was unable to name all the countries in North America and did not understand that Africa is a continent rather than a nation. Palin denied any knowledge of the RNC's extravagant clothing bills, going so far as to say that she's never set foot in a Neiman Marcus (one of the upscale stores where the RNC racked up a $75,000 bill). Palin also denied the report that she was unaware Africa is a continent.

The governor also lashed out at bloggers "sitting in their parents' basement, wearing their pajamas" for some of the questions that were raised about her record and credibility. She was particularly incensed at the questions that were floated about whether or not she was the mother of her youngest son, Trig.

Palin refused to say whether she was planning a run for the White House in 2012, but the devoutly faithful governor said she would wait for a sign from God, and that she is confident God would show the way to the White House.

Faith is a very big part of my life. And putting my life in my creator's hands - this is what I always do. I'm like, OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere, this is what I always pray, I'm like, don't let me miss the open door. Show me where the open door is. Even if it's cracked up a little bit, maybe I'll plow right on through that and maybe prematurely plow through it, but don't let me miss an open door. And if there is an open door in (20)12 or four years later, and if it is something that is going to be good for my family, for my state, for my nation, an opportunity for me, then I'll plow through that door.

Watch excerpts from the interview below.

She scares me. Or should I say that the people that are encouraging her on scare me. She gets ratings, she's a hot topic. They will keep her around as long as she is 'hot'.

Sarah will never survive thru an entire primary race cycle. Her own Repub. opponents will pick her clean. The Dem's were very easy on her in the main media. Here we got to see a lot more of the truth on her. The Repub's play "hardball", ask McCain in the 2000 primaries.

She makes other "Christian Right" candidates, like Huckabee, look very moderate. Romney downright liberal.

I can't imagine a rational Repub. party that wants to re-gain some power would seriously back her. Maybe she will lead a new splinter Repub. Party that is openly "Christian Oriented", like they keep threatening if they don't get "Right to Life" passed.

Huckabee now has a TV show, that's where it seems she is most suited to play to "her base" of small-town rednecks, Christians, and racists.

Many of you probably don't realise that opposing view points are rarely posted in these comment sections. Huff Post isn't being honest about how their readers feel because they don't allow strong, likewise, comments from other perspectives. So, if there is intelligence out there, don't be fooled into thinking everyone agrees with the mocking and slander because we don't. There is a terrible stench in the Democratic party, it's coming from those who mock God and other people's religious beliefs. Hose em down Lord, they stink!

There is a difference between mocking the beliefs of others when those beliefs aren't forced onto the lives of others, and mocking people who believe that their faith should dictate the lives of others, regardless of the belief systems of the others.

Uh excuse me, but the majority of the country (and the world, by the way) believes that the ones who really need a good hosing down are the judgmental, racist, narrowminded, extremist wingnuts of the Republican party...and that's just what the Lord DELIVERED to them!

Wake up -- most people believe you stink.

I have no problem with anyone's religious beliefs, if they are genuine. You are wrong about the stench, though, it's coming from the fake "moral majority" who use religion as a tool and in doing so, mock God.

Let me interview Palin in front of everyone ... FOX, CBS, NBC, MSNBC and any other camera that wants to be there. No pre-interviews, no prep, no commercials, no editing, no cutaways. I'll respectfully present her with questions on Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, Palestine, Pakistan, India, Russia, Georgia (country) the Middle East, China, South America, Europe, culture, economics, geopolitical ideologies, Islam, energy, environmentalism, sustainability, carbon footprints, climate change, U.S. infrastructure, education, health care, domestic energy policies and strategies, free trade, G8, G20, for starters.

I guarantee after such an interview, people will stop taking her seriously and it will the last interview she has in the national arena.

Give her two years to prepare (alias 50% of a college education) and you'd get more or less the same results as if the interview happened tonight.

Palin should embrace her naked ambition and stop looking for crutches.

She must know she'd get laughed off the national scene by anyone but the most die hard right wingers, she already has been, so she's constructed this elaborate fairy tale about some god opening doors for her.

I guess her god also told her to hire a PR firm to get her name into the vice presidential mix.

That's what's normally called covering all your bases.

Purporting to be a Christian, I wonder why Palin slashed the 2008 Fairbanks Community Food Bank budget from $50K to $25K. I wonder why she slashed the Alaska Special Olympics budget by 20%. And cutting out an additional teen program to help young ladies with babies. Yet, she left in the Anchorage swimming pools to the tune of $2M.

To me, she speaks with a forked tongue ...she would accuse me of being a witch.

ummm - does that sound familiar - watch out for those "dumb" guys
- they are smarter than you think.

Are there enough nails to keep that door of hers closed forever? G-d I hope so... Heaven help us, the more this woman speaks the worse she sounds. Next she is going to go out and commune with nature and listen to what she thinks G-d says and then do it... all the wihle hearing nothing and starving to hear it...but without food her mind will be going nuts on her... Oh well, she wouldn't know the difference. When she talks like that, she sounds like a luntic...

So glad she could finally celar up the clothes controversey: The receipts show the clothes "were HIRED" before Palin was on scene..... Are you F'ing kidding me??? This woman's idiocy knows no bounds.

I'm surprised she didn't say she would consider running in '12 only if the End of Days had not yet arrived.
