I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Sarah Palin sat down with Fox News' Greta van Susteren to discuss the 2008 campaign and her political future. The wide-ranging interview covered such familiar topics as the $150,000 spent on Palin's wardrobe for the campaign, as well as the report that she was unable to name all the countries in North America and did not understand that Africa is a continent rather than a nation. Palin denied any knowledge of the RNC's extravagant clothing bills, going so far as to say that she's never set foot in a Neiman Marcus (one of the upscale stores where the RNC racked up a $75,000 bill). Palin also denied the report that she was unaware Africa is a continent.

The governor also lashed out at bloggers "sitting in their parents' basement, wearing their pajamas" for some of the questions that were raised about her record and credibility. She was particularly incensed at the questions that were floated about whether or not she was the mother of her youngest son, Trig.

Palin refused to say whether she was planning a run for the White House in 2012, but the devoutly faithful governor said she would wait for a sign from God, and that she is confident God would show the way to the White House.

Faith is a very big part of my life. And putting my life in my creator's hands - this is what I always do. I'm like, OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere, this is what I always pray, I'm like, don't let me miss the open door. Show me where the open door is. Even if it's cracked up a little bit, maybe I'll plow right on through that and maybe prematurely plow through it, but don't let me miss an open door. And if there is an open door in (20)12 or four years later, and if it is something that is going to be good for my family, for my state, for my nation, an opportunity for me, then I'll plow through that door.

Watch excerpts from the interview below.

She says the clothes were irrelevant.

That is ridiculous! Of course the clothes were relevant if they were portraying her as a small town, hockey mom, PTA mom, blue collar....blah, blah, blah.

Besides that....one second she says she didn't go home with any of the clothes, then says she spent the weekend at her house going through them, boxing them up, and Fed Ex-ing them back to the RNC.

And......I don't believe anyone, as in aides or handlers, would buy silk underwear for Todd, or a $900 purse for Piper. Why would Todd need silk underwear? Was he planning a strip tease?

She is a liar. Period.

Correct pianodiva, this is what I've been thinking since the explosion of insults the first night she appeared like a bad dream: sociopath.

Wouldn't it be interesting to hear her address her ties to Joe Volger and the secessionist Alaska Independence Party?

Also, now that she has renounced her socialist ways as evil, does that mean she is going to return to Alaska and tear down their socialist state government?

Personally, I'm far more interested in those questions than I am about where the RNC purchased her clothes, or her views on blogging, or how little she learned while in school.

Yes.

They didn't go after "vice presidential" candidates pasts.

But if she runs for President? They will attack like she has never seen before....and hopefully bring up lots of things that weren't addressed the first time. And think about it....as much as I want her to never be heard of again, we have to admit....she brings LOTS of laughs due to her stupidity. So I guess if she decides to run in 2012, she'd better be prepared for lots and lots of people making fun of her.

The only thing I don't like about having a woman run for President? The second someone says anything....it is interpreted as sexist remarks. All bets should be off if a woman wants to run for office. Pretend she is a man, I guess.

She is too self centered, religious, cocky, hypocritical, etc, etc........to be anywhere near politics (let alone the highest position in our country. Celebrity maybe, politics....not in any way shape or form.

The Africa thing is true...I just noted she said Alaska invested in Darfur! I think it is Sudan not Durfur! A clear pointer to the truth about the Africa thing...

If Sarah Palin can't take on Rachel Maddow or Keith Olbermann... how does she expect us to believe she can confront Putin or Bin Laden?

She's an empty suit parrotting drivel, just like all Republicans. They haven't had a new idea since Lee Atwater codified the politics of hate for them.

And she is blaming her own party...The R's....for the reason why they lost. And won't take any responsibility at all for her part in bringing down the election.

Doesn't it sound like an R? They blame everyone but themselves. ALWAYS!

And, I'm like, I think God showed all the right-wing religionists who should be in the White House! Really. I do. I think true prayer goes something like this: "NOT my will, but thine be done."

Plow on through just like you plowed over the characer of Barack Obama and all Americans who aren't on the extreme right.
I hope that she sits down with a real journalist who will call her out on her hate talk and splinter politics! As a Christian I'd be particularly interested in how pious Sarah reconciles so much hate with Christian values?

The more she talks the slimmer her chances that her huge ambition will be realized.

Can you imagine Palin surviving an entire primary campaign, regularly debating seasoned politicians out for her blood? She can't even hold her own in a soft-ball, scripted "interview". She has left a trail of lies and trampled bodies behind her - just the fuel any opponent needs to take her down. She only had any impact at all due to her "surprise" selection by a desperate old man - even then her numbers turned bad after only 3 or 4 weeks. Imagine if she had to fend for herself for 12 months?
She would be moose-stew, yubetcha!

For someone who proclaims that "faith is a big part of my life" she sure spent a large portion of her campaign judging others.

She is not a very scrupulous woman.

She is not a very honest woman.

She IS a shameless opportunist.

I think it is HILARIOUS that most republicans embrace her, but it frightens me that so many Americans are so shockingly ignorant about virtually every subject.

Please, let us fix public education.

Besides the fact that she's ridiculously under qualified for public office, she's a textbook example of everything that's wrong with American religion, christianity in particular. A belief system of smug entitlement, an utter lack of compassion for the less fortunate, and a belief that if you undergo an hour of psychodrama every Sunday that you can commit the basest of acts for the rest of the week.

Palin will have the usual 25 percent of the populace behind her at some point because that is the number of Americans that are either amoral opportunists, truly sub-intelligent, or suffering from a mental aberration (or some combination of these elements.) Note that this is the core number of people who always approve of Bush's performance.

Please don't tar and feather the whole Christian faith because of this woman and the evangelical so-called Christian movement. Palin is a liar and opportunist. She is judgemental, self-righteous, mean, vindictive. That "smug entitlement" and "lack of compassion" you so rightly describe is not real Christianity and there are real Christians who do not feel that way or treat others that way.

We are of like mind!

The psychologist that was assigned the task of counseling Hermann Goering during the Nuremberg Trials said that after all was said and done he had learned what the nature of evil is.

He said that evil was the inability to feel empathy.

I think it is an ingenious analysis.

Falin Palin is also a prime example of what is wrong with the American public educational system... When I went to public school you got a dang good education... at least in CA... Looks like the Republican's and AK haven't done so well with their system... She should stay home and home school her kids and leave the rest of AK's citizens to upgrade their schools... including science... Evolution needs to be taught in AK.

Please, Dear Lord, lock the doors tightly for our safety, keep us safe from Sarah Palin, protect us from her divisive backward desires for the country, remind Sarah of the responsibilities to and needs of her children, forgive her for the wickedness of her campaign, keep Sarah safe from her selfish desires.

Yes!
GOD PLEASE CLOSE THE DOOR!
Don't leave it ajar for ventilation...she will think it is open and PLOW through it!

Dear GOD...
I beg of you...
be our savior...
and SLAM THE DOOR SHUT!
She is the loser in a worldy election...
doing interview after interview...
with incorherent answers....
she says nothing meaningful.
And she is not tending to her flock as it says in the Bible!
Her children need her Lord...
at home!
They need to spend time catching up on school work,
saying their bedtime prayers...
and spending time as a family...
NOT with camera's following the children around...
in their christian home...
with people interviewing them!

The winner in the worldly election Lord...
He is tending to his wife..
tending to his beloved children...
his family... protecting them.
There are no camera's in his home.
The are no internviewer's following his children.
This man, the winner, is tending to the sheep...
He is treating people the way he wants to be treated Lord.
You said "Thou shalt not judge" and he doesn't!
He follows the 10 commandments.
He does not bear false witness.

He has done what you have asked the world to do.
Please Lord....
answer our prayers now...
and "close this door"...for America....
today would be good!
Amen!

I'm amazed that she has the nerve to "act" as though she was a Chris tian after her hateful speech during the campaign. If she's a Chris tian, she sure hasn't demonstrated it to me. She's mean and hateful. Furthermore, we've already had a president who received a message from his creator. He (the president) made of mess of everything.

We may just be witnessing a political party marginalizing itself out of existence!
